Ever since I moved here from London 3 years ago, I've been looking for a good cup of coffee!! My friend and I went coffee hunting last Sunday, first stop was the Forty Hands. The cafe was so packed, we got ourselves a table outdoor, they have those old stools, and old looking table - it was actually a iron board and a rack putting together. They don't have fancy decor, they only reuse the milk tin for their sugar holder, a paper bag for the napkins.My friend ordered a cold drip & long black,

My friend and I went coffee hunting last Sunday, first stop was the Forty Hands.
The cafe was so packed, we got ourselves a table outdoor, they have those old stools, and old looking table - it was actually a iron board and a rack putting together. They don't have fancy decor, they only reuse the milk tin for their sugar holder, a paper bag for the napkins.
My friend ordered a cold drip & long black, but after I tried a sip of the long black, it disappointed us a bit, it was too acidic for our taste.
Then I tired the cold drip, before the sip, a really strong aroma of coffee rush to my nostril, then when I took my sip, it amazed me, normally I like my coffee hot, but this is one of the best cold drip I ever had, not acidic, strong fragrant!Normally I prefer long black - but that disappointed me, so I went for a latte. Not like the franchise cafe, not too light in colour - good balance between milk and coffee. Same as the cold drip, a very strong aroma. The glass is not too hot to hold on to, so they didn't over boil the milk. After my first sip, it gave me a WOW effect!!! There were so many sensations going in my mouth, I can tasted the richness of the milk, the strong coffee, it was so smooth to swallow. The after taste was so strong, I can still taste the milk and the coffee.
