I'm a big fan of ThaiExpress but I realise that there is a difference in standards when you compare outlets in terms of service and food. They should really do something about this inconsistency...Anyway, I love the CityLink outlet because it's usually quite quiet and cosy. The staff are pretty attentive (although they are a tad bit slow in refilling water) and the food is a lot better compared to the other outlets at Plaza Sing and Marina Square. We ordered the prawn cakes for our appetiser. Piping hot and super tasty, these were fantastic and went really well with the accompanying chilli dip.

I had pad thai for a change and requested for chicken pad thai instead. Not too oily - just right!

Lastly, the same ol' dessert that's always a hit and miss - the mango sticky rice. I think they make a pretty decent one at ThaiExpress, but at some outlets... you get the drift. This time, it was pretty all right. I asked for extra coconut sauce (they tend to be a bit stingy about it) and they were quite generous with it. Cute presentation - reminded me of an Angry Bird haha.
