The wanton mee from this very stall is a part of my growing up memories. I used to come with grandpa when i was a kid. We always seated right in front of the stall after ordered and waiting for the wanton mee to be served. But now, perhaps as part of cost effective measures, self-service is implemented with a raise in price. It raised from $2.00 to $2.50 for smaller portion and $3.50 for the bigger portion. I still come here for wanton noodle once in a while just for old times' sake and always ended up looking for light snacks right after that. No matter, it is still one of the better wanton mee stalls in Ang Mo Kio, the noodle is springy and cooked to the right texture with the savory sauce mix and tasty char siew and wantons.
