Sometimes I get homesick and miss Indonesian food so much. One of alternative places to go everytime this homesick strikes is Ayam Penyet Ria. It's quite tricky to find a really good and authentic Indonesian ayam penyet in Singapore. Ayam Penyet Ria is not a new thing for me, since this restaurant is already well-known in Indonesia.Coca Cola - $2.05. Canned Coca Cola served with ice cubes. Ice Milo - $2.05. Basically Milo can be either hit or miss. Here, they served hot Milo with ice cubes! I was so disappointed to see the ice cubes melted really quickly. It became diluted and tasteless.
Ayam Penyet + Rice - $7.40. This set menu came with smashed chicken thigh, fried tempe (soybean cake), fried beancurd, and sambal. The chicken was tender, juicy, and crispy. The tempe and beancurd were tasty as well. The sambal was burning hot! As an aftermath, I got stomachache the next day.Overall, Ayam Penyet Ria serves good ayam penyet at affordable price. Will return again when I'm craving for ayam penyet hehe.
