The chef really got the timing right for the breaded salmon ($13.90+) as it wasn’t overcooked and still pinkish raw in the middle. Plus, I’m impressed by the croutons in the salad, very fresh and crispy! As for the cafe’s namesake, the fries were a letdown. Garlic and herbs: Lots of herbs but no garlic flavour. Adding a clove of garlic to the fries for the visual effect doesn’t make it garlicky, you know.
Salt and vinegar: Very weak non-existent vinegar seasoning.
Sour cream and onion: The fries version of Pringles chips. This has the strongest flavour out of all.
For a place that’s more or less all about fries, I expected better than average fries.
