Located in a cozy corner of Holland Village, Yoshimaru is an eatery focused on selling japanese ramen. It is now having its' Ramen Challenge, in which people will be on the wall of fame when they are able to finish a large bow of their japanese ramen fast. Note that this isn't any ordinary ramen, but they have added ingredients such as 2 extra eggs, more meat, and more noodles! As of yet, the fastest eater is counting at 5 mins 26 seconds!!It is rather squeezy to enter and they have a glass door
the soup base was thick and the ramen was very smoothly crafted, causing it easy for us to slurp it down our throats. it wasn't too soggy nor too tough, in fact this is as close as to a real genuine bowl of japanese ramen that any outlet in Singapore can offer as of yet. the egg, which was a little runny in its' yolk, was delicious and really fresh. sadly there is just too little slices of meat. the bowl is really huge and can be shared between two people. The meat in the ramen had a thick layer of fats . Yoshimaru’s Gyoza - $6
This is a MUST-BUY! The Gyoza is injected with delicious meat chunks and vegetables inside, and pan-fried till a little brownish and crispy on the outside. It is truly delicious and worth the purchase. I love the sauces that were on the table, before that they will give us a bowl of sesame seeds and we have to crush it on our own. Its' really the true Japanese way of eating. Yummy A simple meal like this is very satisfying for a hungry tummy.
