Went to With a Pinch of Salt at Tanjong Katong with friends coz I bought three vouchers from one of the singapore deals online. The ambience of the cafe is nice, with cute character as the wallpaper and table deco. Went to With a Pinch of Salt at Tanjong Katong with friends coz I bought three vouchers from one of the singapore deals online. The ambience of the cafe is nice, with cute character as the wallpaper and table deco.
Drinks
Lime Juice and Fruit Punch
Normal drinks.
The starters
Green Salad is okay, fresh veggies and topped with thousand sauce, I can make this at home too, nothing special.
Creme of Chicken is bad, just cooked from packet powder, very watery and portion is very small, not even half a bowl.
Potato Salad is nice, together with some hard boiled egg cubes and pickles, but the potato cubes are not soft enough.
Main Course
Bacon Aglio Olio is okay, with quite fragrant garlic taste and bacon bits that is crispy.
Pan-seared Miso Dory is salty, and the fish has fishy smell and not fresh.
Teriyaki chicken is okay, the chicken is juicy and tender, covered with lots of herbs which gives fragrant herb smell, but it was salty also.
Dessert
Bread pudding is nice, with quite strong cinammon taste, recommended for cinammon lover. Anyway the portion is very small.
Vanilla ice cream is not nice, the texture is very course and flaky and not creamy at all.
Creme caramel is not very nice, the caramel flavour is not strong at all, and it looked plain also.
My friends and I were very disappointed with this cafe and will not patronise again. I'd rather visit the shops nearby.
