I happened to chance upon a groupon deal for a Prata Buffet at a restaurant called Prata Planet in Clementi and since it was cheap I decided to buy it and give the place a try! At $4.90 per person, this deal was well worth it!They offer a wide variety of prata such as plain, egg, tissue and thosai as well. The prata was generally warm and fluffy and had a good solid taste! The curry was also tjhick and rich with flavour and should appeal to curry lovers. The wide variety of prata and thosai on offer boggles the minds so try to pick a few to eat and not force yourself to order everything. The naan was decent and average so I'll recommend ordering the pratas and thosais over the naan.One problem with the buffet was that you could only order at the start, meaning you had to estimate and guage at the start how much you could and wanted to eat. Quizno Subs is a franchise imported from America and it has found its way to the Sunny Island of Singapore and like Subway it serves primarily 'submarines' or sandwiches! A big difference between Subway and Quizno is that Subway allows for more customization and modifications of the sandwiches as compared to Quiznos! However I do feel that the taste of Quizno is much better and tastier than that of Subways!The bread is soft and well toasted, and freshly baked! It was really complemented well by the chicken and sauce! They have many different sauces and meat for you to try, so I decided to just go with chicken as a safe choice and now I wished I had ordered more to try! It was a decent combination and the taste was so much better thanSubways. The only disappointing thing was the customization was limited and I couldn't add all the veggies I wanted like I could at subways! Strictly Pancakes is a great place for tasty pancakes and decent location for a relaxing and satisfying time for good food! Savoury and Sweet pancakes are offered in addition to basic pancakes and it is place I would definitely recommend for a casual meal!I ordered 2 dishes to try: The Chicken Ala King and the What A Spread.The chicken a la king is basically panckaes with Chicken that was topped with cream sauce and asparagus . The pancakes themselves were of course delicious - Warm and fluffy, the batter used to make the pancakes had a good mix and blend, while the chicken that came with the pancakes was well cooked and tender. The cream sauce complimented the chicekn very well and it was a decent dish! The What a Spread is a sweet pancake that was a dessert and the sweet taste delighted my palate! Strictly Pancakes is a nice little restaurant found near Dhoby Ghuat Mrt that of course serves Pancakes as you can tell by its name. It has a nice variety of pancakes served such as savoury panckaes and sweet pancakes. It is also a good place for relaxing and having a chit chat but note that reservations are recommended as it can quite crowded and queuing for a place in Strictly Pancakes would take a while.I tried their eggs benedict and plain pancakes. While their pancakes were fluffy, warm and tasty, their eggs benedict was average and nothing special. If you're looking for a decent eggs benedict, the replacement of toast with pancakes was a nice surprise but nicer eggs benedict can be found elsewhere in other brunch places. Plain pancakes can be ordered with various toppings such as mushrooms and it added a nice touch to the pancakes! The garlic and herbs butter I ordered with the pancakes was very nice and the spices added a delicious flavour to the pancakes! Tampopo easily has one of the best ramen in Singapore and has a quality reputation in Singapore. It is raved about by many people in Singapore and if you've ever had some of their ramen, you'll agree too.Tampopo's broth is the flagship flavour of Tampopo and the soup is really a masterpiece of Tampopo. It is netiehr too salty or spicy, and the right combination and mix of flavours gives rise to a wonderful taste and smell. The ramen itself was very springy and tasty, and tasted great when eaten with the broth. The tonkatsu meat was sadly overshadowed by the broth, but in any case the tonkatsu was still tasty. It was crispy while the meat within was chewy and fried to a nice golden glaze. The overall feel of the meal was an excellent one made possible by the extraordinary taste and flavour of their ramen! Strangers' Reunion is one of the more popular cafes lately and my friends and I decided to head down to Outram to give it a try. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday morning so we had to wait a while before being seated. The decor of the cafe is pretty unique, having a more rustic feel. However, what I didn't really appreciate was the mixture of different furniture in the cafe. Like one table can be really big with huge arm chairs, and another can be really small with stools. There can be high tables situated around as well. It didn't really affect me until we were seated at a really small table for 4 people, and there was one huge arm chair, and three stools for the other 3 to squeeze at two sides of the table. Food wise, all of us ordered their breakfast sets. We liked the Eggs on Toast set which gives you the option to choose the type of eggs and other additions to the set. We also had the Egg Net Tempura Soft Shell Crab and Egg and Bacon Ciabatta. I really can't say much about the food except it was just average and nothing to wow about. We were pretty disappointed about the standard, and was looking forward to having their waffles, which we heard Strangers' Reunion was really famous for. Unfortunately, at 1pm the waffles were already sold out. No further explanation was given for that so we left the place in search for other dessert options.Whether I'll head all the way down again to try their famous waffles, I'm not so sure. Sushi Tei is one of my favourite places for Japanese food, simply because I love that they use higher quality ingredients in every dish. I had a gathering with my friends the other night and I wasn't feeling very hungry, but was still craving sashimi. (I always crave sashimi) So I went ahead and ordered the sashimi salad, with Wafu sauce. Boy was that the yummiest plate of salad ever. They were so generous with the sashimi pieces that even after I was done with the vegetables, there were still leftover sashimi. The pieces of sashimi were cut into smaller cubes rather than the usual sizes, and had a good variety. Of course, the sashimi was fresh and very good. Do give the Wafu sauce a try as well if you prefer something lighter to go with your salad.We tried the Mango & King Prawn Sushi Roll which is as good as the other fusion sushi rolls. I had meal at Han's with my parents at their outlet at the Chevrons! They serve a mix of different meals ranging from western to asian and sandwichs of sorts! I decided to go for a simple meal rather than getting one of their set meals so I ordered a beef cheeseburger with egg and cheese, a chocolate éclair and a cup of tea.The beef cheeseburger with egg and cheese was extremely tasty. The beef was well cooked and marinated and had a distinctive beefy taste to it. The cheese melted and complimented the burger very well along with the egg. You can choose to add fries and a salad to the burger if you wish for a few dollars. The chocolate eclair was decent and a nice thing about it is that Han's tend to makes eclairs with a lot of cream! Grub is a quaint restaurant located in the middle of Bishan Park and surrounded by some beautiful scenery. It's usually busy and tough to get seats but today when we went for Brunch there was surprisingly vacancies. The dishes at Grub is actually very delicious and although there isn't a huge variety, the quality more than makes up for.We ordered Mentaiko Fries and the big breakfast set to try! The mentaiko fries was simply heavenly with the Mentaiko sauce and seaweed complimenting the fries. The fries wasn't too salty and the mentaiko sauce was very generous in terms of portion. They even gave extra mentaiko sauce in case the amount of sauce on the fries wasn't enough! The breakfast set came with several dishes: Salad, Chicken Sausage, Scrambled egg and toast. The chicken sausage was very tender and juicy and absolutely delicious! The scrambled egg was tasty as well and wasn't too bland or salty and just nice. The set came with a cup of coffee which can be upgraded to a cup of gourmet coffee but I didn't take that deal. Rise is one of the best buffets you can ever find in Singapore! Featured at Marina Bay Sands Hotel, it offers not only a very wide variety of dishes across multiple cuisines, the quality of their food is commendable and highly recommended by all who have eaten at Rise before.The most important thing about buffets, especially when there's such a wide selection is to plan what you want to eat. For me I'll recommend skipping the salads first because compared to the other dishes available, there is simply no point wasting stomach space on salad! Don't attack the bread too early on as well as it can really fill you up fast and you might be full too fast.Seafood is a must try! Their seafood is fresh and tasty especially when it comes to the oysters and mussels. Eat them with the sauces for extra zing! Although their sashimi isn't as good and fresh as the sashimi from other restaurants (e.g. Ikoi, Sushi Tei), you can still try some but do focus more on their seafood, trust me on this. Do attack the meats well, and consume as much as you can! The carvings and meat available are all well cooked and prepared, and delicious to a mind boggling standard! And of course do leave space for desserts! There's so much choices available, so do choose wisely when it comes to desserts as you will most likely not be able to taste all the desserts available.Do keep in mind that Rise buffet can be rather pricey, but then again you pay for what you get, and what you get is unlimited tasty goodness so if you're willing to fork out the money, this is a good investment!…查看更多

So I whipped out my phone and managed to win a 1 for 1 deal, so of course I just had to help myself to some Red Mango right then and now!The portion of yoghurt is very generous and the yoghurt is tasty and not too sweet! A healthier alternative to ice cream indeed! They have a wide variety of toppings and as you can see, they are very generous with regards to the amount of toppings they sprinkle on your yoghurt! Personally, I feel that it is worth while to get nuts and cereal to go along with your yoghurt as their crunchiness and taste compliments the sweetness of the yoghurt very well. If you're craving for good french cuisine at a relatively affordable price, La Petite Cuisine is the place to go! Located at Serene Centre in Bukit Timah, La Petite Cuisine isn't your typical 'atas' expensive restaurant. It's a rather small restaurant but the food served is excellent and well worth the try.We ordered the Dory in basquaise sauce, Confit de canard and escargots! The food was all excellent and delicious! The escargot that we ordered was juicy and somehow tasted a bit like mushrooms (or maybe it was my imagination). They went very well with the bread and it was relatively cheap and satisfying. The dory was well cooked - Fresh without a strong fishy smell. It had a soft and smooth texture and the sauce really complimented the fish well! The duck confit was the cherry on the cake - A crispy layer of skin with warm and tasty meat in the inside. The suace was heavenly as well and had us craving for more! The smell of the duck confit was fragrant as well and rich with flavour. All in all, it was a very good meal that was worth every cent! Everything with Fries is an excellent place for a quick meal, a snack or just desserts. While they serve various flavours of fries (as evident by their name), Everything with Fries do serves burgers and the focus of my review today, cakes!I stopped by the outlet at Orchard Central for a quick dessert! Having tried their nutella tart previously, I was curious to see Nutella Crepe on display in addition to their Mille Crepe so of course I had to order one to try! As the saying goes, anything with nutella is awesome and the nutella crepe was indeed awesome. Unlike the nutella tart where the taste of Nutella can be rich and overpowering at times, Nutella Crepe strikes a perfect balance between taste, texture and richness. The presentation of the cake is appealing with the Nutella Cream sandwiched between fluffy and smooth layers of crepe! At Din Tai Fung, I usually order their noodles with pork cutlet as I tend to prefer to have 'soupy' food to eat, but today I decided to give their friend rice with pork cutlet a try! It was very delicious; The fried rice was very tasty and well cooked, and the hint of egg was strong and the smell was wonderful. The pork cutlet was glazed and fried to a nice colour and crisp - Each bite was tasty and complimented the fried rice well.Of course, Din Tai Fung is famous for their Xiao long Bao so of course I had to order some to eat! Din Tai Fung's xiao long bao is basically a dumpling with a bit soup within and a portion of juicy pork! One of the nicest brunch places to have brunch at, in my opinion would be Arbite! Located in Serangoon near Chomp Chomp Food Centre, Arbite has a solid reputation and serves quality brunch at decent prices. Strangely enough, me and my girlfriend decided to have dinner there and we ordered 2 dishes: Eggs Benedict (as always with all Brunch places) and frittata!Eggs Benedict were decently made - The poached eggs were soft and fluffy, prepared nicely and went very well with the ham and toast! THe hollandaise sauce was divine as well and complimented the eggs and ham very well. The frittata was extra special as its an italian open style omelette stuffed with all kinds of ingredients such as asparagus, onions, mushrooms and cheese! Good portion and awesome mix of flavours really made my day at Arbites! Arbite does offer many other dining options and dishes as well other than all day breakfast, so do give those a try!
