This was a little cake treat given to me! The size of the cake was just nice for one pax, no mess eating it as a spoon is provided. The cake is packed neatly in a transparent plastic box, labelled eggless so anyone with egg allergy can eat it with peace of mind. The cake tasted good but nothing very special about it either. Honeymoon Dessert is always full of diners whenever we passed by. We got deterred by the queue many times but today, we had finally decided to give it a go.I always prefer cold dessert to hot one, and I like it to be as colorful as possible, so I ordered this mixed fruits sago with coconut juice ($6.5)It was a refreshing dessert, not too sweet and with the addition of many fruits, it made me feel less guilty about having a dessert. At Rice Table, I bet you will surely be outnumbered by the dishes surround you. At a reasonable price of $17.90, you will be served a total of 14 dishes. Thereafter, after you have finished any of the dishes and if you wish to have more, you may order again at no additional cost.To prevent the food from getting cold, the dishes were being placed on a 'rechaud', or food warmer.Among the many dishes, these are the few dishes that I love most:Curried TofuThe curry gravy is similar to the sayur lodeh gravy, nice!Curry ChickenThe curry chicken was not very spicy, and it has nice fragrance from the curry spices and coconut milk.Grilled ChickenThe chicken was grilled in dark sweet sauce, a sweet and savory dish.Chicken SatayThe Indonesian style satay is slightly different from the satay here. I have tried milo dinasaur many times but this is the first time I ordered a milo godzilla. It is just like a milo dinasaur but with an extra scoop of vanilla ice-cream hidden under the dome of milo powder. As the ice-cream melted, you will find your milo getting sweeter and creamier. This drink is really pleasing to the eyes! However, do note that the quantity of milo powder on top was not consistent. We ordered a cake to celebrate dm's birthday. I asked for a cake with less cream and the staff recommended me this chocolate hazelnut cake ($37.8 per kg). I have to admit that I was rather skeptical at first because this cake looks rather simple. It looks elegant, but not as 'delightful' as other fruit cake.However, I was pleasantly surprise after taken a bite of it. The cake was soft, and rich in Nutella taste which I love. After strolling a while around JEM looking for a place for dinner, we finally decided on Lee's Taiwanese, which we had passed by so many times but have yet to tried it.Taiwanese Beef Noodle ($14)The noodle used is the thick flat type, similar to the noodle used for dark sauce Hokkien Mee. The thickness and fullness of the noodle was just right, with generous portion of tender beef slices laying on top of the noodle. Soup-wise, it was a normal one. Overall, I felt that the price lean on steep side judging from the taste.Salt & Pepper Chicken ($6.90)Although this looked like pop corn chicken, the chicken chunks used here were slightly bigger. It was crispy outside while tender juicy inside. The seasoning was done well, not too salty but still had its fragrant.Snow Bean Curd ($3.8)The beancurd was not as soft as what we usually had, it was actually kind of ...bouncy.Baby bak choy ($4.8)The bak choy was served with pork belly, quite a new combination to me. We were at Farmart and settled at Cheng's Seafood Village for our lunch. Sambal Mussels ($10/)No more mussels for the day, so this was actually sambal lala. To be frank, I have tried sambal lala that is much much better than this. This one was ok but lack the intensity of the taste.Signature Deep fried beancurd ($10)This was so addictive! The beancurd were fried evenly without being too oily. They got wiped out within minutes.Seaweed soup ($5)The soup was decent, not overly salty and there were many ingredients inside. Totally worth the price paid. I almost mistaken it as seafood soup instead.Cuttlefish rojakI was really excited to see slices of cuttlefish lying on top of the rojak! Although it was a hot day, we decided to bring the heat to the next level by having the 363 katong laksa. My laksa cost $4. Despite its plain and simple look, the smell is tempting enough to get you dive right in. The laksa came with prawns, fish cakes, bean sprout, and laksa leaves (yes, I asked for no cockles. I can either choose to please my stomach or my taste bud, in this case my choice was the former one). The laksa tasted fragrant, there were ample laksa leaves, which I love. My favorite ramen place in hawker center

This is one of my favorite ramen places in hawker center. I love their dry ramen ($3.5) best, mainly because of the sambal they use. They always put two types of sambal on the counter for self-service, one of it being the sour-ish, watery type in bright red color, while the other one is drier and in dark red color. I like to add extra sambal (the darker color one, which I think it complement the dry ramen better) to my ramen for extra kick. The dry ramen came with two deep fried dumplings, vege, and minced meat. My only complaint was that the fried dumpling is usually too hard, not crispy enough and there was barely any fillings inside.…查看更多

We were around the Bukit Timah area and decided to have our lunch at Saizeriya. As far as I could remember, the food are cheap and the quality is good for the price.Genovese spaghetti ($5.9)The spaghetti was done al-Dante, paired with fresh basil sauce, olive oil and cheese. The sauce was on the oily side but was rather fragrant. Look at the color! It looked so green that I wondered if they had added any coloring. Spaghetti chicken bolognese ($3.9)This tomato sauce was light and sweet, the perfect taste to entertain kids. The serving was just right, enough to make you feel full but still leaving spaces for sides or desserts.Pork with black pepper chicken steak ($8.9)If you can't decide whether you want to have pork or chicken, don't need to crack your head over it, this dish offered you both. The meat was fine, just like how it is expected from food court, nothing fancy but nothing screwed up either. We liked it that the black pepper sauce was served separately and not poured on the meat, so that we can enjoy the dipping games .Seafood chowder ($3.4)There were clams, and some vegetables in this creamy soup. At this price, I have tasted many worst off version. I was actually quite surprise that this one turned out fine. It was above my expectation given the price paid.Butter corn ($2.9)It was ... buttery! The corn was slightly overcooked though.Focaccia with garlic butter ($2.2)Actually it looked more like naan. The bread was rather chewy and we had it last. Just chew on and on .... while waiting for the rest to finish their food.Chicken wing ($3.95)We ordered the 4-piece set. The chicken wings were crispy, but not burnt, while the meat was juicy and tender. I can't find fault with this one at all, this is something that I will come back for.For additional $3.9, you get to complete your meal with a small salad and get drink bar free refill. If you are not keen for the salad, you can just pay $2.8 for the drink bar free refill. Overall, the food here wasn't great, it was kind of sub standard but certainly worth the price you paid for. As long as you adjust your expectation accordingly you will be pleasantly surprised. For us, we enjoyed our meals and we love the wide variety of food offered here.  …查看更多

I used to frequent Siam Kitchen as there was one nearby my previous staying place. The last time I came, I felt that the quality had somehow deteriorated. I wasn't sure if it was a one-time event, so I decided to give it a try again.Mix vegetable with tofu in signature sauce ($8.9)If you are a tofu lover, you would agree that egg tofu is usually flavorful and silky soft, even though after fried. For this dish, the vegetable was fine but the tofu turned out mushy and bland. Understandably, we all took a bite and couldn't help but shaking our heads.Hot and sour omelette curry with prawns ($10.9)Have you ever had a food that looked so different yet tasted so familiar? It took me a while to realise that this curry tasted like my favorite penang laksa. An interesting twist on this dish was the omelette, it was stuffed with acacia pennata. I think this was the only dish I like at the table.Stir-fried kai lan with salted fish ($8.9)A simple green for some fiber.BBQ stingray with Thai sambal ($14)The stingray didn't taste fresh, and the meat was kind of tough and chewy, as some would say 'logo'. We were expecting those BBQ stingray in Chinese Tze Char style but this was nothing like it. The sambal tasted just like plain chilli, we couldn't taste any belacan, shallot or other ingredients that usually attributed to a BBQ style sambal. Another round of shaking heads again.…查看更多

The texture of the soup was light but full of flavor. It was vegan so there was no meat in it. Walking in the botanic garden at 9am, the first thing we were looking for was? Aha, it was breakfast!This was the first restaurant we came across. If you are bringing kids and fancy a relaxing meal, you won't want to miss this. There is a playground for your kids to run wild while you are having your meal. There is a small kids dining area too.In fact, this restaurant has the most high chairs than any other restaurants that we have came across.Mee Rebus and tea set ($6)They seems to offer many tempting western breakfast, but DG was in the mood for Asian food. So we ordered this Mee Rebus for sharing. I only planned to have few bites but the gravy was really delicious. This was my lunch today! I bought it early on my way home and left it there for almost one hour before I ate it. I thought the noodle was going to be very soggy but surprisingly, it turned out well.
