Dinner tonight was really satisfying. With a big plate of roasted pork and a generous portion of vegetable with oyster sauce. This noodle house is quite spacious but is abit warm here. Service is fast and friendly from most of the staffs here. I have paid less than $20 which is quite cheap. Roasted pork is very crispy on the skin and the meat is not too oily and quite tender. Vegetable is also very fresh and crunchy with not too salty oyster sauce topped on it. Yummy!

Didn't know Hiang Ji Roasted meat & Noodle House is kind of 'Famous' store at Toa Payoh.As my friend and I were there by chance and decided to settle our dinner at toa payoh, it was around 8pm when we patronised so there isn't crowd or I would say hmm no people there actually. The FoodI ordered a bowl of roasted duck noodle with dumpling soup. The delicious mee kia noodle is remarkably springy mixed with the dark soya sauce and chilli. The roasted duck breast meat is thick tender and well-roasted with crispy thin skin. One bad thing is a bit too oily for me due to added pork lards. Often I will see that this stall were packed with diners and a queue of people. Thankfully I came way before the lunch hours and managed to get a packet of roasted duck rice. All the roasted meat at the showcase were so alluring that I felt like I wanted more. Yup, the duck meat was good, tasty and well marinated and the skin wasn't that crispy probably because it was packed away.

This is one of the two stalls selling roasted delights but i have always been eating from other stall but somehow this stall seemed to be a little popular thus i decided to try it.I ordered my usual favorite - char siew & sio bak rice for $4.00. It tasted as good as other stall but less generous in the portion of char siew & sio bak given. It might not be the best that i ever tasted but it is still one of the better around.Recommended.

I was at Toa Payoh visiting my friend and was walking around looking for something to eat. My friend told me to eat the roast rice at the back row of shops. This stall is quite famous at toa payoh central for their roasted meats like char siew, chicken, duck, roasted pork. They have either the choice of rice or noodle and for rice, you can even choose oily chicken rice or white rice!
