My friends were raving over how good the beancurd was then, so I had to try it for myself. Bought it home to try when I was having lunch at Maxwell. It is perhaps a very objective thing when it comes to food, since tastes varies for different people. I, belongs to the group who does not like Lao Ban. To me, beancurd is not pudding, but Lao Ban beancurd is not the traditional type of beancurd but is instead in a pudding form. The original flavour is quite milky for me, and I got quite sick of it

The original flavour is quite milky for me, and I got quite sick of it after a few mouthfuls. Didnt like it at all. The almond was much better, at least still acceptable for my taste. Perhaps, Lao Ban appeals more to the younger people. My younger sis loves their original beancurd while I simply dont like it.

Lao ban beancurd needs no introduction, the queues seems to have died down recently though. The beancurd is really soft and will instantly melt in your mouth once eaten, really addictive and enjoyable. Tried the soya bean drink a few months ago as I have never tried it from the stall before, have always just purchased the beancurd itself. The soya bean drink was nothing spectacular, was even a wee bit too sweet for me. Will skip this next time and go for the beancurd instead.

Seeing that the queue for Lao Ban is not too long, I decided to queue for it. It took me less than 10minutes and I left with 10 bowls of Lao Ban to bring back home. It is gone very fast and before I know it, there is only 2 bowls left when I opened my fridge later in the night. I personally love it when it is just out from the fridge since it is very cold and the beancurd is very smooth and cooling in my mouth. The beancurd is really as good as all the reviews have claimed with its malty flavour

After eating Chicken Rice from Ah Tai Hainanese Chicken Rice stall, Openrice spent us to eat Lao Ban Soya Beancurd again. The stall was small and simple, with a middle-aged man standing beside to serve customers. Unlike other Beancurd stalls, there were no many flavors to choose from, only Plain Normal Beancurd and Almond Beancurd on the menu. I bought the plain one, decent taste of soya and it was soft and smooth. It considered reasonable price, $1.50 for the Normal Beancurd and $2.00 for the A

Personally, I prefer this traditional taste of Beancurd than the luxury or complicated taste of colorful Beancurd with different ingredients. Maybe it was attractive for the teenagers nowadays, but not too suitable for elderly.

Overall, I enjoyed the day with Openrice.

This is my favorite dessert because it comes in a variety of flavors but my favorite is still the original flavor. It is because it has a nice aroma of the soya bean and the bean curd is very silky, soft and smooth. It is very soothing to the throat and this is my all-time favorite dessert because it is inexpensive and very nutritious. Therefore, I would like to recommend for you guys to try it out.

Many raves about this tau huey. But didnt get to try it till months later as the Q is always insane. And people normally buy more than 6 containers - to make the Q more worthwhile? Had my chance one day when one of the ex colleagues walk past the stall and the Q is short.Honestly, i had high expectations because of too-many-raves. Had my first mouth and i didnt like it. It isnt tau huey but pudding. Needless to say, i didnt finish it.

I absolutely love laoban tauhway! Extremely smooth and silky, the beancurd just glides down your throat! Chilled, it is great on a hot day to soothe the heat! Laoban's beancurd seems to have a stronger soya bean taste than many other chains, which is why they are my go-to place for beancurd! Every time I patronize them I never fail to order at least 5 beancurds for my family members!

Nothing beats the cold but silky soya beancurd on a hot afternoon. I was told the soya beancurd style is enabled by adding the white coffee mate powder. Have yet to see laoban come up with more innovative flavors though. But meanwhile i will stick to this choice. The bowl with red cap is to differentiate the almond version. Silky smooth and sweet, that's the only way to describe its texture. By the way, this tower of dou huey photo is a common sight near this famous stall, just to show off the v

But i must say the queue here is much shorter than old airport road one.

Yummy! Having my favourite lao ban bean curd once again. Actually i was quite shocked that when i was at maxwell at 8.30pm there was still a lot of bowls of bean curd left at their stall, i think they must have increase their quantity by a lot to cope with the increasing demand of their awesome bean curd. I have always chose the original flavour as it is the one i like the most rather than the almond flavour. The bean curd is so smooth and so silky that you can't help but wish to have another bo

Lao Ban Soya Beancurd is so well-known that there will always be a queue in their shop. In this case, I ordered 35 bowls of Lao Ban Soya Beancurd as a desert for my team and other students. This is my first time tasting Lao Ban Soya Beancurd and it seems that Lao Ban Soya Beancurd are made in factory-style. The queue at Lao Ban Raffles Place is getting shorter already. Therefore people who doesnt want to queue for long yet want to savour the taste of Lao Ban Beancurd can actually come after lunch hours or early in the morning to avoid crowds! Their Lao Ban contain the authentic taste, which is not very sweet. It just has it's own taste of beancurd as compared to the others.

FINALLY!!! I'm no longer "sua ku" for not having a chance to try lao ban soya beancurd. Boss came into office with some soya beancurd and ask me which flavour I want. Thanks Boss!WOW...1st time so gotto taste the original version. Basically, it's just "drinkable soya beancurd" and this is the perfect word to describe. It's not so much of a pudding ( where it's chewy) nor custard (soft & soggy). Its more like somewhere in the early stage b4 soya bean milk harden completely to become smooth beancu

Lao Ban chilled beancurd has been so popular that it has opened another stall at Maxwell Road Food Centre. Just like the stall at Old Airport Road, the stall always has a long queue of customers who want taste the popular chilled beancurd. Maybe because of the long queue, a lot of peope can be seen buying 5 to 10 at one go.The texture of the pudding is like pudding. It is also quite sweet compare to the traditional beancurd.

I have always wondered what is so special of their beancurd. I have been wanting to try but it has always sold out almost everytime. I was here for lunch today and queued up hoping to try it. I managed to get the last few. The almond flavour is at $2.00, a bit expensive. The texture of the beancurd is like custard, very smooth and soft. The sweetness is acceptable. I would not mind eating again if there is no queue.
