Been there once, back there twice. This quaint little cafe is located by the Crawford River, in a lone building that no one would expect would house a lovely cafe in its premises. Lattes are really nice on rainy afternoons if you like coffee. I am not that fussed up over coffee and really prefer milk tea so shall not comment on my latte. The food menu is quite limited but good places do their little offerings really well (as opposed to being a jack of all trades). I liked their scrambled eggs: fluffy airy and soft. The pancakes with grilled pineapple with bacon was also quite nice with properly caramelised pineapples without being overburnt.

The FoodInstead of ordering cake or any mains or even coffee, I decided to try their tea selection this time. So I ordered their earl grey tea. I like how the tea is served as it is presented in a very nice cup and tray. Taste wise, it was pretty good. I like it.The AmbianceThe place was quite cool as you can choose to sit outdoor or indoor. However, it is not very accessible.

It isn't hard to locate Loysel's Toy because it is just located along the rochor river in kampong bugis street. Housed under a commerical building, it has quite a wide dining area. Had the eggs benedict on toast with bacon for $12. Eggs benedict has only a slight vinegar taste, unlike some other cafes where the vinegar taste is over-empowering. L's big breaky.And a latte.I'm happily fed.Of course it took a long phone call, random directions before i got myself here in one piece.I was at the immigrations but could not figure out my bearings.don't be afraid.venture where no man has gone.it's in the park!that solitary grey building that houses a pretty coffee place like loysel's.don't expect fancy decor. it's rustic.and i like it like that!

stopped for a quick drink. the orange juice is fresh squeezed. very small cup and lots of ice to bulk it up. not thirst quenching as there was not much drink in there. took a while to arrive as well. very small place - hard to find seats. service is not very helpful. industrial fans blowing everything off the table. about $6 for this drink. tried their black coffee as well and didn't find it outstanding.

not sure about the hype about this place. there is absolutely no atmosphere, and the place is so tiny, it is hard to get a good spot. there is no view, no people to watch - nothing to see. the industrial fans they have everywhere blew everything around and we couldn't even read the papers! the lemon tart was liquidy. but it was very lemony, which was good. did not like eating liquid lemon tart filling. service is not friendly and not fast. costs about $6

Am a coffee lover so a hobby of mine is to try the different coffee from different artisanal coffee places these days.. A friend of mine brought me here for the first time.. it was quite out of the way but he was driving.. I guess this is probably one place i will come only once in a long while.. nothing veyr much could keep me here.. i love the cakes at Loysel's Toy café. They are simply delicious. my friend brought us there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We each ordered a slice to eat. I ordered there chocolate cake. It was wholesome. The slice was as huge as those at secret recipe. It is not too sweet. the richness of the cake is totally mouth watering. It is very sinful but very delicious!

Situated at cosy corner by the scenic Kallang River that used to house the old Gas Station of SIngapore.A small cafe joint that serve great coffee and hearty breakfast, this is one that all should not miss! Freshly prepared sandwiches and their scrambled eggs toast are their signature hot selling dishes.Lastly, not forgetting on their aromatic latte that will make any coffee lovers drool!
