After eating this, I am more ambitious to try the authentic stuff at taiwan. This "XXL Chicken Chop" was fried right after ordering, flavoured and sliced for you. Very cripsy (and HOT) on the outside yet juicy inside. Good to eat this immediately after served; otherwise it will turn soggy and the chicken will dry up forming lumpy pieces.Bad to include in a regular diet. Hardly nutritious at all (protein perhaps?). But it's good to have it once in a while.

The price is on the high side, S$6.30 and an additional S$0.30 will include a can of drink.

I have been trying a few other fried chicken from different shops around Singapore and have yet to find one that beats the one from Shilin. The meat is scculent and properly marinated and topped off with seasonings. Often served straight from the fryer, its served piping hot. It is so nice that i often wish i bought more than one packet but of course one bag of XXL Fried Chicken is enough to fill one up. 😋

sweet plum potato fries tempura $2.80This makes a great snack and is rather filling so it can be treated as a meal too. It wasn't the first time I had ordered this but this time round, the fries were cut thicker and I would prefer if it was sliced thinner as it is nicer to eat that way. The batter was thin and sweet. The sweet potato fries itself were however not sweet but the plum seasoning made up for it. Overall, this is worth a try.

This shilin taiwanese street snacks stall's is famous for their mee sua and XXL chicken. Whenever I pass by the stall, I will always see people purchasing either the mee sua or the XXL chicken. The mee sua costs $4.00 and the portion is filling enough for 1 person. There is a generous amount of chicken shreds given and 3 oysters inside. There are plenty of seasonings inside which makes the mee sua delicious. The chilli is not hot so do request for more chilli if you love spicy food!

Full of praises for this bowl of Orh Lua Mee Sua at $4.00 as it has ceased all my dinner temptations with its delicious taste! Opted for chilli and chinese parseley on my bowl of Oyster Mee Sua! It comes with generous amount of chewy shredded chicken. Toss these chickens with the mee sua gravy, Yums! Oysters are fresh and blend in quite well with the flavourful rich and smooth mee sua. Usually I would just walk a distance away from Shilin Tawain Street Snacks stall as I thought they are selling the usual boring Taiwanese snacks and also to prevent myself reek of the fried chicken smell that they are selling. Ordered the Sausage Cheese Egg Crepe at S$3.70 and was given a receipt to wait by the side. Waiting time was about 5 minutes as it has to be prepared base on order.

Staff was polite and asked if i want "Xiang Cai" (Chinese Parsley). The warm crepes are tasty with each coated with sweet sauce that reminds me of Beijing Duck. Cheese and sausage are the main ingredients that is filled under the crepe. The fragrance of the Chinese parsley together with the pieces of crepes had enhanced its taste. Tasty Snack!

Shih Lin Taiwan Street Snacks has been around in Singapore for quite a few years. From a few shop front to now almost every shopping centres has got this stall in it, I am a fan of their XXL chicken chop since then. I hope that they will continue to be consistent in their food and not disappoint their fans out there.

i felt like snacking so I head over to shihlin street snacks and got myself a deep fried sweet potato. I like their sweet potato. The cut is just right, bite size. The potato they used is really sweet. I like it that they do not coat too much of the batter cos I think too much batter will affect the final taste of the sweet potato. I also like the powder they add to the sweet potato. Makes it taste nicer.

i really love the egg crepe from shihlin. They have three different flavours for you choose from, mushroom and cheese, pork floss and sausage. I choose the pork floss one. It took them some time to prepare it. One thing I have to commend them is that they are very generous with their pork floss. The pork floss is very sweetish to the savoury crepe. You can taste the egg flavor in the crepe. The crepe is very chewy. I love the sauce they drizzle on top of the egg crepe. It gives it another sweeti

This mee sua is supposedly handmade but I could not tell any difference because the soup was just too good that I did not really take note of the texture of the noodle. The noodles were not mushy and it went well with the soup, which is seafood based. There were not many oysters though, sadly. But this bowl of mee sua was quite filling!

The oyster mee sua is very delicious and tasty. The gravy of the mee sua compliments the mee sua well and can be drink even on its own. The mee sua were short and it's easy to scoop up by the spoon. There are also chicken pieces which are soft and nice too. There are 3 oysters given and they taste good. Overall, this whole oyster mee sua is simply too delicious and i will always order it when i visit shihlin taiwan snacks. The service was fast and good.

This XXL chicken cutlet is super crispy and tasty. The portion given were large and would suffice as a proper meal. The chicken cutlet was deep fried but it is not oily at all when i ate it. I requested for chilli powder to be added and it definitely brings the taste of the meat out. The skin of the chicken is fried till crispy and does not feel fatty or oily at all too. I love eating the skin too The service was good but you would have to wait awhile for the chicken cutlet to be fried and cut u

SOUR PLUM SWEET POTATO. My mum bought it some days ago and it totally amazed me. So much so i buy it every time i pass by shihlin. I ate it once in NUS openhouse and it did leave a rather good impression already. It's kind of a new dish in Shihlin but it's really good. The combination of sour and sweet taste is incredible. I like it more soggy when i eat because i find the sweet potato tastes sweeter when it's soft. So a bus trip home usually does the trick since shihlin in jurong point is next

It's more crunchy if you eat it asap. But i like it soft, sweet but yet still crunchy on the outside. So tada, a must buy in shihlin.
