This Traditional Chinese bakery stall is hiding at one corner fof this popular food court at Ngee Ann City. There are many choices to choose from and I have bought their signature roasted char siew pau. The lady staff over at their counter is polite and patient when serving me when I asked different questions on the products sold here. The stall is very neat and clean. However it would have been better if the portion could have been bigger as for the price of $1.20 per piece, is abit too expensive.

Recently when I went to Takashimaya, I was pleasantly surprised that Da Zhong Kok opened a branch there. What they sell at Takashimaya is the same as what is sold in the Chinatown main branch, just that there are lesser varieties. I know my parents loved the salty biscuit, so I bought a packet of it home. It costs me $1.80 if I recall correctly. There are 4 pieces in each packet, so each piece is 45cents. I still preferred the ones sold at the Alexandra road which is softer and just simply nicer.

Was glad to know Da Zhong Guo is here in Takashimaya and I need not to go all the way to Chinatown instead. I like a few of their biscuits which are old school and traditional and the taste still remain which is important. I spotted one of my favourite which was the egg white cookies, the texture as though of half cake and half bread, simple yet fulfilling. They omitted the usual over powdered flour on the cookie which was good. I took 3 pieces at one go when I came home, just can't resist! Per
