Shutters is an elegant all day restaurant serving contemporary Asian and Western dishes.The interior is quite spacious. And there is a chef counter where you can observe the chef displaying their cooking skills!
The menu is short and simple. Despite having a lack of variety in the menu, every dish is unique and made to perfection!
Firstly, 3 types of bread being served- The Kalamata Olive , Onion roll and Sesame Crisp. The bread rolls were served warm! (my favourite!) The bread is crusty on the outside and is soft on the inside.
Had Chilli Crab Gratin for the mains. It is fresh crabmeat & roe that is served in a crab shell, topped with calamansi Hollandaise sauce and a side Frisee salad. This is the typical taste of Singapore Chilli Crab. The modified it by adding fresh carbmeat. It is an innovative attempt. The crabmeat is indeed very fresh and chilli is well-balanced. Thumbs up!!! DD
Had the dessert after that. The chocolate was rich and not too sweet. Another thumbs up!!

Went to Alchemy on a Saturday night. The place was so filled that you will not be able to get in without a queue if you did not made reservation.
The drink prices are on the higher side but nothing too outrageous, Food was very yummy! The food is meant to be shared. So we order an appetizer and a main. The hummus platter as an appetizer was really good. In fact, all the food was very tasty and very fresh.
However, the service was horrible as the waiter seemed very disinterested and was very slow. Well, the atmosphere was very cozy and inviting thou.

The speciality there is the entrecote steak. The best steak and sauce i've ever tasted. The salad and the fries that comes with it was just as delicious! After the steak, we had profiterole for dessert. The profiterole was ok. The food is defintitely worth the price!

Overall, a decent place if you are craving for steak but not willing to pay too much for it.

Finally i've got a chance to try out their cakes, Bought this cake for the birthday sick friend that my friends and i are visiting. Well, nothing fantastic but its not horrible either. Personally, i don't like it as it is rather creamy. However a few of my friends say they love it as the mango is really sweet. Perhaps you should buy one and judge for yourself(:

The interior of this restuarant is simple and pleasant with cream walls and wood beams across the ceiling. The food there is really really good. However, the menu changes every few weeks so im not sure if what you are going to have is going to be as good as what i had.
Our bill came to about $370. It rather reasonable for 3 of us, considering that it serves really good food.
Therefore if you want good Western food, do go and check this restaurant out!!
