Fried Kway Teow OK Jul 31, 2012

I ordered the fried kway teow to take away. They fried the kway teow and mee very well with ingredients like lup cheong, fishcake, cockles, bean sprouts and vegetable. The kway teow has got a nice fragrance with a very good wok taste. I could smell the aroma even before eating it. The texture was not oily. This is not the best fried kway teow that i ever tried but good to satisfy my craving.

Rice dumpling OK Jul 31, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Kiosk

I have got a dumpling from this stall to have it for the first time. The dumpling was not from the steamer so the texture was a bit hard. I would suggest to re-steam it before eating it. The rice did not have a good consistence as certain part was a bit not so well-cooked. The meat was a bit too lean thus not as flavorful. It has quite a lot of chinese chestnut though. There was also bits of mushroom in it.

Chwee Kueh OK Jul 31, 2012

I am one of their regular customers. My regular order has always been 4 pieces for $1.20. The texture of the chwee kueh was soft and moist. It even tasted good after left it for a while. The preserved radish is nicely fried to release its fragrance. It was a bit oily though. The preserved radish enhanced the taste and flavor of the chwee kueh. This is a good for breakfast or snack.

Fried Carrot Cake OK Jul 31, 2012

This is another very popular stall in this food centre. There is always a queue. The minimum serving is $2 to $4. The serving of $2 is really little. I usually order at least $3. The carrot cake tasted soft. It was cut into small pieces and fried with a generous amount of egg and preserved radish. It was pan fried well to give it the crispy texture. It tasted better if eaten there.

Fried Fish Soup OK Jul 31, 2012

This is a popular fish soup stall in this food centre. There is always a queue during lunch and dinner. They fried the fish then served it in the milky soup with dried seaweed and tomato. The fish will then absorded the soup and tasted good that way. The portion of fish has getting lesser in my last visit. Though it still tasted quite good but i do not think i will visit that often now.
