Ah Loy Thai ( City Hall )
My first time dining in Ah Loy Thai and it definitely did not fail me. I ordered the pineapple fried rice which costs $5.90. I really enjoy the food and the rice was very fragrant and the portion was also huge, very much sufficient to keep my stomach filling. I like the ingredients such as prawns, raisins and chicken used to fried together with the rice. I will come back for more again.

Starbucks Coffee, Valley Point
Smile 2012-09-16

Starbucks ( River Valley )
The green tea latte at Starbucks makes my day. I simply love the thick latte form at the top of the matcha latte. Mixed with green tea and milk, the warm green tea latte tastes great at a price of $6.20 for the smallest size cup. It is well blended and I can feel the smoothness of the latte. Though it is a little pricey, I feel the money is well spent for a drink that I like.

Mr Bean, Boon Lay Xchange
Smile 2012-09-16

Mr Bean ( Boon Lay )
I am a huge fan of soya milk and Mr Bean is my favourites. I love the original soya milk which costs $1.20. I ordered the cold soya milk, just perfect for a warm day. I requested for less sweet and the sweetness of the soya milk tasted just right. The soya milk is smooth and I like the after taste of it. The Mr Bean at Boon Lay Xchange is crowded in the morning so be prepared to queue for a while.

Coffee Club - Changi Airport
Smile 2012-09-15

O'Coffee Club ( Changi )
After sending a friend off at the airport, we decided to head to Coffee Club located at Changi Airport Terminal 3 for some drinks. I ordered the strawberry smoothie ice blended which costs around $7.90. It tasted awesome especially for a warm day. The drink is chilled with the ice blend and had strawberry bites in it. It was blended with milk too and I liked the milk taste of it. Great place to chill with people.

Xiao Bar Wang, ION Orchard
Smile 2012-09-15

Xiao Bar Wang ( Orchard )
Feeling a little hungry after shopping, we passed by Xiao Bar Wang and decided to try the crispy chicken. It costs around $4.50 for the crispy chicken. It tasted crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chicken was piping hot. I like the combination of black pepper and salt seasonings on the chicken. For those who prefer spice, there is a choice of chilli powder.

Soup Spoon - Raffles Place
Smile 2012-09-15

Soup Spoon ( Raffles Place )
Soup Spoon is my favourite place for lunch although the shop can be really pack during lunch hours. I ordered from the daily specials menu, broccoli and cauliflower with blue cheese soup. It tasted really delicious as I could taste the piece of melted cheese in the soup. I could bite the small pieces of broccoli and cauliflower as well. It costs $8.90 for the soup.

Astons
Smile 2012-09-15

Astons Specialities ( Sembawang )
Astons serves really good western food and the best part is the prices are cheap and reasonable. There is always a long queue especially during dinner and lunch time. People usually comes in large crowds so the waiting time for two people is usually much shorter. I ordered the black pepper chicken chop with corn and french fries as sides. I like the black pepper sauce as it goes will with the chicken meat. The chicken was soft and tender, while the fries were crispy and the corn is sweet. It costs only $6.90 for the meal.

Viet Kitchen - Kopitiam

Viet Kitchen - Kopitiam ( Dhoby Ghaut )
We settled for dinner at Kopitiam at Plaza by The Park, which I walked one round in the food court before deciding to have the fried seafood tang hoon from Viet Kitchen. I made a special request to have less oil and salt. The tang hoon was tangy and the seafood ingredients were quite generous in portion. The portion was sufficient to keep my stomach full. It costs $4.50 for the meal.

Sushi Tei - Bedok Point
Smile 2012-09-08

Sushi Tei ( Bedok )
We had a special occasion to celebrate a friend's birthday and we decided to have dinner at Sushi Tei at Bedok Point as the location was very convenient for us and all of us enjoyed Japanese food. Sushi Tei serves quality Japanese food at an average price. I ordered the soft shell crab sushi which costs around $13. The sushi were fresh and the soft shell crab were crispy.

Yoshinoya - Bedok Point
Smile 2012-09-08

Yoshinoya ( Bedok )
The beef bowl at Yoshinoya tastes really good and I decided to have it for dinner. I went to the Yoshinoya at Bedok Point to order the beef bowl take away which costs around $6. The standard of the food tasted the same despite taking away. I like the thinly sliced beef and the gravy on the rice. It never fails to disappoint me each time I eat the same. The service staff is friendly too.

Pontian Wantan Noodle

Pontian Wantan Noodles ( Ang Mo Kio )
Feeling hungry, we decided to have our lunch at Ang Mo Kio Market & Food Centre as it was the nearest food place from where we were. I decided to order from the Pontian Wantan Noodle store as it was one of the more crowded stores. I ordered the $3 black soya sauce noodles without chilli as I am not a fan of spice. It costs $3 for the small bowl and $3.50 for the large bowl.

Shimbashi Soba ( Orchard )
I am always a fan of Japanese food and I love soba especially. We went to Shimbashi Soba for dinner where I ordered the soba with fried tempura set. It costs around $20 for the set of food which I felt was reasonable as it taste really good. The soba is fresh and tangy, while the tempura is crispy and well fried. The ambience of the restaurant is nice and makes a great place for gathering.

Watami ( Clarke Quay )
For dinner, we went to Watami located at The Central. There was a long queue as it was dinner time, but we decided to wait as I was craving for the salmon rice here. I ordered the hot stone pot salmon rice which costs around $10. The rice was piping hot with salmon ingredients which tasted really good. I enjoyed the meal and would come back again to try the other dishes on the menu.

TOAST BOX - Causeway Point
Smile 2012-09-08

TOAST BOX ( Woodlands )
We went to TOAST BOX located at Causeway Point for tea break. I ordered the Teh-C (tea with milk) with less sugar. It costs around $1.40 for the cup of tea which tasted great. I like the aroma fragrance of the tea and the smooth taste of the tea with milk. We found seats quite quickly as the shop was quite empty in the afternoon. There was no queue for the drinks as well.

Mixed Vegetable Rice
Just OK 2012-07-29

Mixed Vegetable Rice - Kim San Leng ( Bukit Panjang )
Not knowing what to have for dinner, I decided to try the Mixed Vegetable Rice shop since there is always a queue at the shop. I ordered one meat and one vegetable - sweet and sour pork and dou miao. The chicken meat tasted great marinated with the sauce. The price is really cheap as I only paid $2.20 for it inclusive of rice. Probably the food is cheap, that's why there is always a crowd at the shop.
