Chunky Chic Fiesta Smile Aug 18, 2011   (Related Review)

The Chunky Chic Fiesta pizza consists of golden chicken chunks, mushrooms, chicken ham, pineapples, capsicums and oinions on a bed of tangy salsa sauce. This is one of Pizza Hut's latest toppings for their pizzas and this was my first time trying it!

The main pizza toppings are kind of like a combination of Hawaiian pizza and Meat Galore pizza. As usual, the pizza was a little salty, but thank god for the capsicums. Although I don't normally eat capsicums, I like them with Pizza Hut's pizzas. It gives the pizzas a fresh smell and I wouldn't get sick of the pizza so quickly. Also, there's a thin layer of salsa sauce on the pizza so it is slightly spicy and should be all right for those who can handle mild spiciness smile

Gindaco's Takoyakis are one of my favourite in Singapore. They put lots of octopus in it and there isn't too much flour. It is then topped off with the takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise and bonito flakes. 4 Takoyakis cost $3.40 and pretty filling. Its worth it and I eat the takoyakis from this shop often. Do give it a try! smile

Spending per head: Approximately $3.40(Lunch)

I'd always share a plate of 6 pieces Sweet 'N' Spicy Drumlets with my friends or family whenever I'm dining at pizza hut. It is one of Pizza Hut's signature dish. These are juicy tender drumlets marinated in spicy sweet New Orleans spices. Although it seems expensive to pay $5.90 (Excluding GST and service charge) for it is totally worth it. Its a must-try when you're dining at Pizza hut! smile

Kanitama Smile Aug 16, 2011   (Related Review)

This side dish is my favourite dish from Menichi. Its called Kanitama, which is a crabmeat and assorted mushroom omelette. It is relatively big and I normally share with another person.

The egg looks like its cooked on the outside but actually, on the inside, its soft and moist. Kind of like half-cooked eggs. Its filled with thin slices of crab meat and mushrooms. There's a slight hint of nice mushroom smell in the eggs actually. The omelette is topped off with a thick sweet sauce. The omelette is must-try and I often buy it home to have it with plain rice alone for dinner.

It costs only $3.90 (Excluding GST and service charge) and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Soboro Don Smile Aug 16, 2011   (Related Review)

Menichi offers a variety of dons (rice topped off with something in a bowl) that are very filling for a single person. I decided to try the Soboro Don, which is a spicy minced pork and egg rice bowl. It costs $5.90 and the rice used are those long Japanese rice grains.

The minced pork was not dry and neither was it too spicy. I'm not a big fan of pork so I didn't care much for the pork. The egg, was the surprise of the dish. The egg were so nicely cut up that it made me wonder if they put it through some kind of noodle machine. Apart from the good look, the eggs were sweet and I could just eat the whole bowl of rice along with the egg. Absolutely delicious dish for one who's looking for something simple to fill oneself up!
