poor service Cry Sep 25, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Café | Kids-Friendly

I went to Jurong Point Old town white coffee with a couple of friends for dinner. it was quite packed and there was no empty seats available. so we had to wait at the entrance. however, the thing was that the entire time we reached there, nobody bothered about us, no staff came and told us that there was no available seats and we had to wait a while. it was really POOR service. it felt like they didn't not want our patronisation. if not for my friend who wanted to eat their nasi lemak, the rest of us would have walked off.

only when someone got up to leave, then only they bothered to come to us. the thing was all the staffs were not busy at all, they just pretended we were not there.

i ordered their minced chicken rice. the chicken was a little spicy. it was qutie delicious. it came with an egg. but what is the point to have nice food but poor customer service? people would have walked off and won't even have a chance to taste their nice food.

Hope they do something about their service staff, especially THEIR MANAGER, who kept strolling past us and pretend never see us.

i was recommended to streets hong kong cafe by a couple of friends. we went there and ordered their set lunch. i ordered their wanton noodles lunch set meal. i was kind of disappointed. the noodles were very oily. and they were totally not QQ, it was even clumpy. the char siew does not taste like the normal roasted duck rice kind of char siew. it tasted more like the vegetarian char siew. the wanton was not juicy. the sole saver was their milk tea. it was smooth and milky. but i don't think i may return there again.

I was so disappointed with my drink from tealicious. I ordered their milk green tea, and the staff ask me if I wanted any topping, naturally you will think that the drink did not have any toppings so I decided to add chewy gems. When my drink came, it had two toppings, chewy gem and pearl. The toppings itself took up at least half the cup, resulting in very little drink for the very thirsty me... And the milk green tea is not as smooth as koi and gong cha, it leaves some after taste in the throat.

I was so shocked to see that swensen has tie in with Citibank to have a promotion where you spend $35 and get a $5 return voucher. Well apparently my voucher was eaten up by the Jurong Point branch. I feel so cheated… my bill came up to $42.25, so upsetting. However their fish and chips was fabulous. I guess this fish and chips can be eaten at any branch, I will never eat at this branch EVER AGAIN!

a little disappointed Cry Jul 05, 2011

i was in a hurry so when I alighted the train at pioneer mrt, I decided to takeaway some food from ananas café. I ordered their mee goreng topped the vegetarian zhai er. It was mistake after mistake. I should have ordered the bee hoon. The mee goreng was very gooey and sticky, not too spicy. The zhai er was not only not crispy, but it was hard to even chew. However, the thing that saved the day was the chilli sauce. It was thick and sweet, yet not too spicy.
