i went there with a friend lately, we order the lu rou fan( minced meat rice) and dried scallop fried rice. the lu rou fan was good, the sauce was thick and tasty, with generous serving of minced meat. my friend's fried rice was very disappointing.

the portion was really little and it was very dry. the scallop was also very little. on top of that, they do not serve water, hence forcing u to order their drinks all which were priced abt 2 to 3 times above market rate.

the waitress were very keen in their job, constantly hovering ard, once i finished my rice, she did not hesitate to clear away my plate. chill....

the price was not very cheap too...

i am not very surprised by the food at red lacquer. the food is very pricey and some of which is hawker food. the Fried Kway Teow is tasty but not worth the price i am paying for. i believe the Fried Kway Teow at Vivo city food republic is nicer. I am not very impressed by their beancurds and lobaks, very normal, not worth me making the trip to eat it.

the branch at jurong point is very small, and have very limited seating. wanted to give it a try so my friend and i patiently waited for people to finish their meals,

the food was as good as i expected. I tried the triple cheese, the beef patties wzs cutely cut into square shapes, unlike the normal round shapes u find at normal fast food joints. The burger is really huge, i could not finish it on my own. my friend order the spicy chicken, it tasted a little like KFC's Zinger burger, it isnt as spicy though and the meat was rather small, luckily my friend shared my burger or else it wouldnt be enuf.

It is a little pricey than the usual fastfood too...

i was walking outside KFC and a staff of theirs handed me a KFC discount coupon. Since it was a long time since i ate it, i decided to give it a shot. I ordered original flavour and they gave me a drumstick and a thigh. the piece does look a little tiny but for that price, it didnt expect much. however to my horror, when i removed the top layer of the skin and immediately a yellow liquid ooze out, i thought with was water from the juicy chicken, however after much closer examination, it was OIL. i took a picture of how much oil that ooze out after i have eaten. I am rather disappointed, didnt know it was so unhealthy...

i ordered a buddy meal, for the drinks it came with the frappe. the frappe did not really suit my taste, it wasnt milky and sweet enough as compared to McCafe's iced latte.

i hope it is a one off experience that i may have gotten a bad piece of chicken.

being a thai food lover, i just cant resist the temption of thai food, just a couple of days back, i went to jurong point thai express and ordered their tom yum soup set meal. the soup was nice and spicy, i even wrote a positive review on it. today i went to vivo branch as i was having a craving for their tom yum soup set again and my friend who went with me ordered the black pepper soft shell crab. the food was served quite fast as compared to JP branch. However, the clear tom yum soup was not very clear, is was rather difficult to see the ingredients in the soup as compared to the soup at JP where all ingredients were visible.

my friend's soft shell crab was really tiny, initially we thought we could share the dish like we usually do at JP branch, however, it is very impossible here.

Vivo branch was rather disappointing, i dun think i will settle my craving here and would go back to the jurong point branch to enjoy the thai food that thai express offeres.
