I was working half day yesterday, So hubby & I decided to meet for lunch at Nando's. We reached Nando's at around 3:30 Pm for a late lunch & were super hungry. We glanced through the menu quickly & ordered for 2 quarter chickens with 2 sides. I ordered for a medium & my hubby ordered for a hot one. For sides we ordered for a spiced rice, mediterranean rice, peri fries & 3 bean salad.

We listened to the lovely Salsa music till our food arrived. It took about 4-5 minutes for the food to come. Finally when it came We just attacked the food. I digged into a big piece of the medium chicken which was so juicy, tender & perfectly cooked. It was coated with a medium peri sauce. I then tried a bit of the spiced rice, which was a mild flavoured rice with some veggies in it, I liked it. Then I tried a bit of the mediterranean rice, this 1 was a little spicy & more flavoured with lots of herbs & spices, it was just OK. The fries were normal, but sprinkled with peri spice powder & was great. The best side was the 3 bean salad, which was great, it was a mix of 3 different kinds of beans with some salad dressing. I enjoyed the bean salad. We enjoyed our meal with a glass of coke.

Once we were done with food, we ordered for Choco rolls for dessert. We have been fans of this dessert & order it every time we go to Nando's. They are basically chilled chocolate rolls made of chocolate & biscuit & dusted with some icing sugar. 3 pieces are served in a plate. We enjoyed the chocolate treat & asked for the cheque.

We had an awesome time in Nando's & enjoyed the food, the music, the ambience. The staff were very friendly too. IT was a lovely sunny saturday afternoon.

I had gone to Farrer park yesterday for grocery shopping & it was pouring cats & dogs. So we decided to have a cup of hot tea. So we went into ABM Restaurant opp Mustafa centre & asked for a masala tea. It was served to us in no time. It costs about 2 $. The tea was smoking hot, it had a lovely masala/ spice flavor. It was perfectly sweet & was a perfect drink for a rainy evening. I asked them for a take away & the tea was served in a foam cup since I was in a hurry & din't want to sit in the restaurant & have my cup of tea. I enjoyed my hot cup of masala tea as I walked around Little India in the rain.

I was passing by Swiss bake & noticed these cute looking, colorful Danish pastries for just 1 $ each. I picked up a guava & a custard pastry & brought it home. Saved it till after dinner & then Hubby & I both shared it. We loved it. The guava one had some pulpy paste on top of it & was nice & soft. It was fresh, sweet & yummy. The custard pastry was great as well. The pastry had custard in the center & was perfectly soft & sweet. We enjoyed both the pastries-- Guava & custard, but my favourite was the custard one

This time I wanted a cold tea, since I was out in the heat all day. SO I went to toast box & ordered for a Bundung with pearls. It costs about 2.1$. It had loads of ice in it,it was chilled,perfectly sweet & very refreshing,especially since it was a hot day in Singapore. However, I din't like the pearls in the bandung. They were kinda hard & not chewy like they are supposed to be. They were rubbery. I loved the bandung, but not the pearls. I remember having Bandung at Toastbox before, but I also remember that the pearls were nice & chewy. .....

Since Breadtalk is having their Anniversary celebrations, they keep having offers on their various products. This time I found their swiss rolls on offer, so I picked up 2. I picked a chocolate Swiss roll & a green tea Swiss roll. I loved the chocolate Swiss roll, which has a nice & yummy spread of cream inside. The roll also is quite chocolaty, perfectly sweet & yummy. The green tea roll was just o.k, it wasn't too sweet, the flavor of green tea wasn't so prominent, it was a very bland Swiss roll, though it had a layer of cream. I loved the Chocolate roll .
