Ngee Fou Ampang Yong Tau Foo ( Upper Thomson )
I reached this stall at 7:30pm and we are already their last customer.

They served us a 3 paxs share of Yong Tou Fou and we will greeted with a mountain of veggie (Kangkong, lady finger and etc.) Healthy.

The gravey is thick with the authetic ampang taste. I personally likes the crispy beancurb dumpling.

The environment is old style shop house facing greenery. It's does have a kampong feel though.

   Lots of veggie

Best claypot rice in East Region
Smile 2010-11-30

Lao Ban Soya Beancurd ( Geylang )
This stall is famous for it's claypot rice and I would think it's the best in East Region. West Region would be the Clementi's stall.

The claypot serving is generous and the rice cooks to its perfection with chunks of meats and mushrooms. This stall is so popular that it's even well-known among the tourist and expat.

Please expect to wait for at least 30mins for your food during peak hours or you can pre-book your order via phone. They're using the traditional charcoal style and it's simply heaven.

Carpark lot is a challenge though..

mouth watering soup
Smile 2010-11-30

Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig Organ Soup ( Jalan Besar )
Once I stepped out of my car, I can smell the fragrance of the famous pig organ soup.
As usual, dinner time, and the stall was buzzing away taking order.

I ordered my share and tucked in the clear soup with rice.

The wonder of the soup is the soup base itself, it's thick and not too salty as some pig organ soup does.

They also carries some others dishes e.g. minced pork and veggie.

Come if you want a simple yet mouth watering meal.

Carpark lot can be very limited especially meal hours.

Healthy value for $$ meal
Smile 2010-11-30

The Soup Spoon ( Raffles Place )
I always like to have a healthy and hearty meal in The Soup Spoon.

They serves quality and value for $$ food. Especially their add-ons to complete a meal set. You can complete the meal with a side (either half salad or sandwich) apple or chip and 1 drink. I always feel full after the meal but always gulit free too.

Recently they revamped the royalty card and you can get a price rebate when you chalk up 100 points. Trust me, it's not difficult to get 100 points. You can simply tell the staff your mobile number if you forget your royalty card and they'll be able to add the relevant points into your profile. Save your hassle to bring the card along everywhere.

2 thumbs up.

poor service
Cries 2010-11-30

Lunar Asian Fusion Bar ( Clarke Quay )
I went Lunar with friends on a friday night and was greeted with disappointment that what was once a fun-filled club becomes only half-filled and not as busy as before. Looks like their biz drops quite abit after their renovation.

We wanted to finish our bottle and after staying on their higher floor for 1 hour, we decided to proceed to level 1 instead. We seek the waitress help to get us a table on level 1 and w/o pausing she said a NO table. My gf and myself decides to check out ourselves and to our surprise, there's actually more than 5 tables unoccupied. Obviously this waitress was being irresponsible and simply shun our request to get a table on level 1.

Pissed, we sat on 1 of the table and called our frend who was on second floor to seek help to transfer our drinks down. We waited for 15mins and still no help was rendered to him even though he told 1 staff about the request. Pissed, he hold the bottle and mixer himself and proceed down.

I was totally dismay with the bad attitude of the service crew, i can understand if the club was packed or busy and it'll takes a long time to be serviced but that's not the case for Lunar on the night itself. I can jolly well see many crew standing or walking around the club with no duty.

The crew were not attentive as well, taking their own sweet time to serves us glasses and ice buket.

I hope they can show some passion in their job.

berrylite ( Bugis )
I saw this new creation, peanut butter flavor yogurt and can't help but get 1 cup to try.
The aroma of peanut butter filled up my mouth once I struck it into my mouth and I believe anyone who likes peanut butter will like this new creative flavor too.

It's Fat free too, so you can stay gulit-free.

sweet dessert and sweet moment
Smile 2010-11-30

Honeymoon Dessert ( Somerset )
This cosy shop serves many different and creative desserts from Hong Kong.
I like their mango pudding. The skin is ultra soft and melts in your mouth.
The mango itself is not too sweet and is simply awesome when you bite it with the cream inside.
They comes in durian pudding as well.

Worth having some sweet moments with family and friends worth enjoying the sweet desserts. You'll be spolit for choice.

Good food but bad service
Just OK 2010-11-30

Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant ( Bugis )
SERVICE

My boyfriend and myself went Nanxiang Steamed Bun at Bugis Junction for our usual dinner. We ordered Poach Chicken Drum, Asst Vege Slice, King Size Soup Bun and etc...
The food were good but the service we received was more than we desire.

The Poach Chicken Drum was not cut properly and my bf asked for a table knife, he's a Jap and the English accent is not S'porean style but surely the China waitress should be able to understand him.Instead of being helpful, she showed her impatient face and took our dish back to the kitchen to cut the chicken drum in a unprofessional manner.

I don't know what is your exact closing time but at 9.15pm, the staff starts to clear away our chilli and sauces. I can clearly heard my neighbour complaining as well. The staff also started to sweep the floor while tables of customer are still dinning away.

This type of service needs improvement especially they are located in Bugis Junction where the number of tourist is high.

FOOD
Their Spring roll carb roe is commentable, cripsy and full of roe.Vale for $$.
Wasabi Prawn must try too, big juicy prawn with a mild wasabi taste to wet your appeitie.

Good deal 1 for 1
Smile 2010-11-24

211 Roof Terrace Cafe ( Holland )
i would agreed that this restaurant is good if you enjoys resonable price on the wallet and quality food.

They runs promotion with Citibank, DBS and UOB with a 1 for 1 for all pizza or pasta.

I tried the smoked salmon pizza and it comes in big chunks of salmon which I'm quite surprise. Potion is big even for the 1 for 1 offer. They are even running a all day beer promo at special price.

The rooftop dinning environment provides a cosy and nice experience.

Overall experience is good.
