chocolate orange OK Jul 28, 2012

i ordered the iced chocolate orange drink from barista café. This place is pretty quiet on weekdays so you can sit and chill the afternoon away. I find their chocolate drink still a little sweet despite being blended with ice. Luckily for the whipped cream that they topped it off with, it sort of counter some of the sweetness of the drink. however I still cos not finish all of it, maybe they should cut down a little of their sugar.

sambal fried rice OK Jul 28, 2012

this stall indeed sells really nice fried oyster but I cannot say the same for their sambal fried rice. you can choose whether you want the fried rice to be fried with prawns or chicken sausage. I opted for the chicken sausage. I took away their sambal fried rice, when I go home, I opened the box and saw that the sambal fried rice only had sausage and egg, there was no other ingredients in the rice. not even vegetables. it did not have the spiciness of the sambal fried rice. there was no sambal fragrance as well. I was pretty much disappointed. Should have stuck with their fried oyster.

clumpy rice OK Jul 28, 2012

I was craving for Korean food, i was deciding between the Korean chicken or the kimchi fried rice. the lady at the counter told me the kimchi fried rice inside had Korean chicken, so of course I ordered the kimchi fried rice since I could have the best of both world. However when I got my kimchi fried rice, I was kind of disappointed. The rice seems to stick together and very clumpy. Though there were a lot of kimchi and chicken, the taste of the rice kind of brought down the standard of the dish.

curry OK Jul 28, 2012

When I first ordered this curry, I expected it to be thick and flavourful. However upon taking the first sip of the curry, it was not how I expected it to be. the curry was not thick at all, it was kind of watery. You can hardly taste the curry flavor, yes it was spicy but it taste like those spicy soup with very little hint of curry taste. Not the way I like it, maybe I prefer food with a stronger taste.

not impressive OK Jul 27, 2012

i ordered the teriyaki chicken with pineapple rice set from bbq express. It was pretty reasonably priced, the entire set meal only cost me $3.90. they were nice enough to separate the teriyaki sauce from the chicken so you can add how much you want. The pineapple rice was not exactly fragrant, it had very little pineapple bits in it but I found it still edible. The chicken was kind of hard, not the tender juicy kind. There were also achar in the dish. the achar instead had a lot of pineapples.
