BBQ chicken Smile Jun 23, 2013

I introduced my family to Manna Story because my sister is really into Korean Food. She was so glad that the side dishes were free flow. I ordered their BBQ chicken. It came with a bowl of rice. The BBQ chicken was very tasty, the gravy went well with the rice. the chicken was sliced into thin slices so they were easily coated with the bulgogi marinate. The marinate was not too bad, it was mildly spicy and not too salty. i think eating the BBQ chicken alone was just OK, but when you eat with the side dishes, it tasted really good.

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Dinner)

sambal fried chicken Smile Jun 23, 2013

Fu Xiang not only sells good curry chicken, they also sell other dishes that are really nice. I ordered their sambal fried chicken. They placed it on a sizzling hot pan. For my rice, I topped up more rice and added an omelette, this top up cost me $1 which was kind of reasonable. The sambal sauce was not too spicy. it was sour enough so there was no need to squeeze the lime they provided. The chicken slices were deep fried then coated with the sambal sauce. I asked the lady to top my rice with their curry sauce so I could have the best of both worlds, nice curry and delicious sambal chicken.

red chilli oil pork dumpling Smile Jun 23, 2013

I really enjoyed eating those red chilli oil pork dumpling. So when my family went to Paradise Dynasty for dinner and each ordered a main course, I opted to ordered their ala carte red chilli oil pork dumpling with a bowl of white rice. The red chilli oil sauce went really well with the white rice, though it did taste a little sour. the dumpling was very fat and juicy. when you bite into it, there was juice oozing out. The skin was very thin as well. It was really good.

My girlfriend spotted a chatime when we were shopping at Novena Square and she immediately went to get us a large cup of their Jasmine Green Milk Tea. It was like an oasis in the desert. the weather was so hot, the haze was causing out throats to feel dry and scratchy. the jasmine green milk tea tasted really good. you can taste the fragrance of the green tea. we ordered half sugar so it was not too sweet. the milkiness made the drink very smooth and nice to drink.

My girlfriend and I were walking around causeway point, we decided to head to food republic for dinner. I ordered the thai food from Rama 9. after browsing their selections, I decided on their tom yum soup with omelette and rice. Their tom yum soup is the red kind not the clear kind which means it is not so spicy. The acidity of the soup was just right, it was not too spicy. Somehow it tasted really good that it makes you wanna drink mouth after mouth. The omelette was fried till super thin, kind of puzzled how they managed to get it out of the pan. Nevertheless it was delicious.
