Cranberry Cream Cheese Bun Smile Jun 24, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery

The cranberry cheese bun here at Bakery Talent is really good. After tasting one that my mother bought back for tea, I had to make my way there for more. The bun is awfully reasonably priced, less than a dollar. I took a front view of the bun, it is coated with cranberry bits, the cream cheese is inside the bun. I deliberately tore the bun into two to show the cream cheese infused into the inner walls of the bread. The combination of the cranberry and cream cheese is indeed heavenly. This is a MUST BUY bun!

My girlfriend and I saw a lot of people ordering the kimchi pancake from Dong Dae Mun so we decided to give it a try as well. their kimchi pancake is very reasonably priced, only $2.50. It was not too spicy. there were two versions of the pancake, one spicy and the other not. The pancake was more of chewy than crispy. it was in a circular shape where the cook flipped it into half and cut it into 8 slices. It was pretty easy to eat and best eaten with the chilli sauce that they have.

Spending per head: Approximately $2(Tea)

Assam curry fish head Smile Jun 24, 2013

Most people head to Gurney Drive for their main course like fried kway teow, assam laksa but my girlfriend and i are there for their assam curry fish head. we somehow think that the assam curry fish head is one of the best we have tasted. the fish is so fresh, the meat is very sweet. the assam curry gravy is really good, not too spicy. i like the sourness of the gravy, it goes absolutely well with white rice. their gravy is very thick unlike some places where the gravy is so watery. we paid $22 and it came with two white rice , like some kind of set meal.

My sister and I were feeling a little hungry at around 11pm. most of the food places were close and we did not want to eat fast food so we drove to Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe as they opened till really late. She did not want to eat too much so we shared a plate of the Braised Pork Ribs Bee Hoon. It was very fragrant, the bee hoon was very chewy and it had the braised pork rib fragrance inside. the pork rib is really good, the meat was very easy to scrape off from the bone. the portion was really huge, good for two to share.

Refreshing Smile Jun 24, 2013   (Related Review)

I think because of the hot and hazy weather, a lot of people choose to chill at The Coffee Bean to spend the afternoon away. It was pretty hard to find a seat but after waiting around for 10 minutes, i finally found a seat. I ordered their Iced Tea. i seldom ordered the non-milk series so i decided to give it a try. it was indeed more thirst quenching in my opinion. very refreshing for hot weathers and not too sweet as well.
