roast duck rice Smile Feb 20, 2013

I went pretty early to the canteen to grab lunch. there was not much of a queue at the Roast Specialties stall. I decided to order their roast duck rice add bean sprout. the portion was alright for me and it was very cheap. the roasted duck rice only cost $2.50 and the additional bean sprout cost 50 cents. The duck did not have any bones in it making it very easy to eat. i like the bean sprout, very juicy and not overcooked.

bee hoon goreng! Smile Feb 13, 2013

This is one of my favourite bee hoon goreng around. my father would walk over to this coffee shop and get the family this aromatic and extremely large portion of the bee hoon goreng. they fried mutton with the bee hoon goreng. their mutton does not have the strong mutton smell. the meat in fact is pretty tender and juicy. the bee hoon is a little spicy on its own, probably cos they added a little spices to fry it. as a whole the portion is so huge that my mum and sister had to share a packet.

Graffiti Cafe only sells one main course which is the Pontian Wanton Noodles. I decided to order myself a small size, they have two sizes $3.50 for small and medium i think is $4.50. As i was not too hungry, the small size was just right for me. I like their wanton noodles, the noodles is very springy. There char siew was not too thinly sliced. they were pretty generous with their wanton too. I went around lunch time so had to wait pretty long for my order.

Chocolate Croissant Smile Feb 13, 2013

Categories : Fusion | Bakery

I decided to stop by Tiong Bahru Bakery at Raffles City Shopping Center to grab some supper as my dinner was kind of light and I was not really full. After much pondering, I finlly settled for their Chocolate Croissant . The croissant pastry was really good, very buttery and fragrant. The chocolate inside the pastry was not too sweet. in fact is was a little bitter sweet in my opinion. the rich chocolate flavour along with the buttery pastry really goes hand in hand. it was very reasonably priced only $3.20.

Pineapple Tarts Smile Feb 13, 2013

My father came home with a box of Pineapple Tarts from Emicakes, he said his colleague ordered to share among themselves. The pineapple tarts were very fragrant when we lifted up the lid. Inside the tarts was the pineapple paste. The consistency of the paste was just right, not too thick. Its sweetness was approved by all members of the family, not too sweet. as a whole we were all very satisfied.
