Quizznos is probably the best commercialized restaurant for quick and delicious subs. Scattered around Singapore, this restaurant is becoming more and more common in Singapore. Located at the world-famous Changi Airport , Orchard Central and even, Icon Village at Tanjong Pagar, it’s the best solution for a quick, delicious and satisfying lunch.

When it first started out, I remembered trying it for the first time and getting my mind totally freaking blown! The steak sandwich is honestly the best. My mouth waters just thinking about it and would love to leave my desk job now to grab that sub!

So, what’s so great about the steak sandwich?

Their steak sandwich has the perfect balance of salty and sweet. Bite into the sandwich and you will hear the loud and reassuring crunch of the warm bread followed by an ooze of tasty sauce and tender beef.
I soon figured out what brought out the flavors… You know, the right balance of awesome tasty savoriness and sweetness, not forgetting that warmth from their interesting looking conveyer belt sorta oven… Anyway, getting back to it, their secret ingredient… Bananas. Who would have thought.tongue

This sub totally sold me to the place and I soon found myself studying and meeting friends at the Quizznos of Orchard Central ever so often.

The set meal comes with soup. I usually get the chicken soup mainly because of that one time, I watched an episode of FRIENDS and saw an episode of Joey eating chicken soup and of course, I went to a Quizznos right after that.

Epic Wagyu Udon Smile Mar 31, 2013

Located down a common-looking dark alley way, the Flying Squirrel is new to the Tanjong Pagar Area. A total hole in the wall type of restaurant, it took us a while before we managed to find it and boy, was it worth it.

With a reservation in place, we were recommended this place by my partners friends who chanced upon it by accident.

This Japanese - Western fusion restaurant is an upcoming restaurant where I envision it to be the next epic hang out location for those who frequent Club Street.

The staff was friendly and seated us in a lovely little spot. The restaurant wasn't that big but it was fully packed! I was amazed by the amount of people.

We started off with a bottle of white wine and a platter of sashimi about SGD$40++

The catch was fresh, smooth and tasty. I love the subtle taste of the sashimi that was light yet flavourful.

After, we decided to split Wagyu Udon ( SGD$30++) The beef was tender and the soup was light and delicious. The best beef udon I've ever had!!! I would definitely go back for this dish.

The atmosphere is inviting, though it was kind of warm and the spot light was way too bright during dinner. We told the staff and they helped to turn the lights down a little.

I would highly recommend this place for people who are thinking of a great place for a first date or for those who'd like to take their clients out for an interesting and fun business meeting.
