Had a rather delicious, scrumptious dinner at En Dining. A Japanese Ala-Carte buffet outlet which serves food of rather high standard, even the presentation was pleasant for a buffet restaurant. I love having steamboat whenever there is a gathering. I think 'steamboating' promotes a sense of camaraderie. En Dining is a place that I will visit and revisit if my pocket allows. Unfortunately it is not cheap.

Of course we had more food than this, but well... decided to stop taking photos and start enjoying my food! My obsession with taking photos of food is probably irritating my fellow dinner mates.

This is one of the cold dish that we had, century egg cold toufu. Very refreshing as an appetizer, and it is very eggy. Century eggs lover will definitely love this dish! Presentation was exquisite too. I probably can eat 10 pieces of this if not for the fact that i need to consciously save space in my tummy to make way for more delicious food.

The sashimi was very fresh and slices of salmon were thick. I strongly believe that sashimi must not be slice too thinly so that it retains the bite.

This is the beef carpaccio which is not bad. In fact this is my first time eating beef carpaccio.

Our shabu shabu pork slices. Good proportion of fats and meat. Very fresh n flavourful I must say.

OOooo this has got to be my favourite dish of the night. It looks rather ordinary but looks can be deceiving! This is the ungai fried rice, the unagi in the rice really enhances the flavour of the rice. Very addictive dish, in fact it was this dish that fills me up big time cause i couldnt stop eating it. Maybe that was the intention, give you a very good rice dish and fill you up so that you will stop eating other more expensive dishes.

This is part of our Shabu Shabu

The very fatty Dong Po Rou, Pork Belly, which my friend couldnt stop eating and once she decided that she had enough, she was sick! Her artery must have felt clogged. Fats lover would love this!

The lovely beef slices for the beef sukiyaki. Beautiful and perfectly marbled beef. Again good proportion of fats and meat.

You can choose between the Beef Shabu Shabu and Beef Sukiyaki. Both are part of the ala-carte buffet. It was about $60 per head. Cant remember the exact price though.

home cooked nonya food Smile Jul 24, 2012

Despite being very skeptical about voucher deals, I am still addicted to buying vouchers. So here I am at Little Nonya because of my voucher spree!

And yes, this has got to be one of the better food deals. The food is really quite good except for the cabbage roll.

Delicious Ayam Buah Keluak! Love the gravy, goes very well with rice.

I think this is the babi pongteh

The Kiam Chye Ark - Salty Duck soup is not bad too, tasty but not too salty.

This is the dish that spoil it all! Dislike the coconut based gravy. Personal belief is that if you want to have a coconut based dish, you need to use either fresh coconut or if not a tried and tested brand that does not have that weird smelly smell of stale coconut. I am not sure if you get what I mean but.. uh well... Fresh coconut is important.

This is a simple but delicious dish!

Love Love Love soya sauce chicken Smile Jul 24, 2012

One of the best Soya Sauce Chicken in Singapore. In my opinion this is the third best soya sauce chicken! First, Cross Street Chiew Kee, second, Soya Sauce chicken stall at waterloo street... argh cant remember the name.

Fried is yummy!

Dumpling soup not bad!

This is third but nevertheless very good. WHy is this ranked third simply because if you eat the chicken plain, without the condiment, the flavour for Fatty Ox is not strong, not as tasty and a little salty. On the other hand, the first two stall can be eaten plain and it is still extremely flavourful. What is so special about this then? The toppings, the condiments on the chicken. The chicken is topped with ginger sauce which is So so wonderful!

Value for Money, fantastic Pizzas Smile Jul 24, 2012

Came back to this outlet twice in a week!
Yes it is that good and cheap.
The most expensive 12 inch pizza cost $16.90. Pizzas come in standard 12-inch size. What is best is that you can request 2 flavours in one pizza, of course they will charge the price of the more expensive pizza. Thus it is good to order 2 flavours of the same price.

Squid ink ravioli

Delicious Sfoglia Di Melanzane Alla Parmigiana: Wonderfully cheesy n mashy! Love the texture of cheese and egg plant. It is oooo sooo good and sinful!

Buffalina pizza and something else, cant remember the name but it was wonderful, the ham toppings are oh so fresh! Taste really porky, not like some fake tasting ham.

Buffalina and Parma ham with rocket leaves. I love it!
