Recently renovated interior of the Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe in Plaza Singapura. A regular at Xin Wang, I would like to introduce some of the nice dishes there. There are many nice food there and I shall start off with some of the items which is more or less a regular order of mine.

Iced HK Ying Yong. Always ordered it without sugar. The milk and the tea is such a fragrant blend that it tasted perfectly right for me without sugar. The Hot Ying Yong is thick and smooth and it is priced at $3.00 while the Iced Ying Yong is $3.20

Fish Egg Sauteed Hor Fun - The gravy tasted good and the hor fun is literally transparent and smooth. Generous servings of fish slices too. For fish lovers, this is a good choice. They have mixed seafood hor fun too. $9.80 a plate.

Fish Papaya Soup Beehoon - A healthy choice with papaya pieces, sweet corn, fish and vegetable. The soup with a light milk base is so delicious that you can go all the way to the very last scoop of the soup. The papaya and sweet corn gets seasoned by the soup base too and it is really tasty! $8.80

Dessert! Here it comes...The Mango Sago & Pomelo Cream. When the cafe's staff placed the dessert on the table, it was really a ooo-wow! Look at it, a nice sized bowl serving such a tempting looking dessert. Most important ...how does it taste? The pomleo toppings on the vanilla ice-cream ball which sits coolly on the Chilled Mango Cream. More treasures...the mango cubes and scooping into the Mango Cream, more surprises, transparent pearls. It is a wonderful dessert, well balanced in taste. The portion really makes a dessert lover leaving the restaurant feeling very satisfied indeed! $5.80 per serving.

Butter Pineapple Bo Lo Bun. This is one of the items on my "Must Order" list. We can find Bo Lo Buns at many pastry shops but what I like about this Bo Lo Bun here is that, there is a piece of juicy pineapple inside it. On top of the pineapple is a thick slice of butter. The Bo Lo Bun is baked to a golden brown and is crispy. When served hot, the butter melts slowly and goes into the pineapple and the bun, making every bite a joy! $2.50 per bun.

The crunchy Japanese Red Pickles that goes very well with the Curry dishes.

Pork Culet Omelette Rice - It is simple a wow! The steamed white rice is wrapped with an omelette. Try a spoonful of the Omelette together with the rice and covering it with generous scoop of curry..it's so delicious!!!

The Pork Cutlet has a crispy coat and the meat is juicy. Eating it on its own or dipping it into the thick curry is wonderful!

Beef Curry with steamed white rice. It is a great meal if you wish to have non fried items for a change.

The displays at the Coco Ichibanya at 313 Somerset - Very Tempting indeed! Will consider their Prawns and Sausages Curry during my next visit. The ambience is nice and cozy. Japanese Curry Lovers should not give this place a miss.

Spelt Sunflower Bread - Just butter on this well toasted bread is enough! Very Tasty!

Shop ambience is cozy. The chefs are in the open area and you can see them working on these nice bread and cakes and many more.

Mushroom Chicken Ham. The Mushroom is well seasoned and juicy.

Raisin Bread well toasted eaten on its own is good enough as there are raisins inside. Adding butter to it is of course even much more tastier.

Beetroot Artichoke Sandwich with Dried Tomatoes, Beetroots and Artichokes dressed in light olive oil. A good choice if one wants to try a sandwich with a different taste.

Toasted Sesame Bun, be it eaten as it is or some butter spread, it is simply a nice bread!

Canele de Bordeaux - Slighty sweet with a chewy centre and bit crispy crust. A cup of nice coffee would be a good match!

Pound Cake of the day~A crispy layer of crust wraps round this butter cake. Unlike usual soft cakes, this cake has texture.

Pan Sear Dory Fish With Asian Greens - Tasty Dory Fish with Mushroom Toppings and nice cream sauce. Food presentation is attractive.

Spaghetti with Turkey Ham and Mushroom Cream- simply delicious! Ice Lemon Tea comes in a Big Jug which is most welcomed on a hot day.

A shop within the compounds of the restaurant.

A nice furniture layout.

A white bicycle with birds is placed at the ground floor.

An interestingly colourful car and the background wall art sets the restaurant in a lively an cheery mood with a cozy relaxing interior. A nice place to spend the afternoon indeed.

Liu Sa - Soft bread with creamy filling, salted egg yolk mixed to a nice blended cream filling. Best when out of the oven where the hot creamy filling oozes out and the bun is really soft.

Cheesy bun..very soft and nice cheese topping.

Chocolate mousse with thick chocolate crunchy base.

Choclate Banana bun, best when pipnig hot. A good chocolate & banana mix filling.

Curry Lovers would like this bun as the curry is just right.
