A birthday lunch! Smile Nov 06, 2012

I went there quite a long time ago for a birthday lunch of one of my friends. Our group was about 8 people who all love Thai cuisine. We ordered a wide range of dishes.... fried soft-shell crabs, creamy tom yam noodles, tom yam soup, pineapple fried rice, seafood fried rice, papaya salad ... and so on. As we were having a late lunch around 2:30pm, the restaurant was occupied merely by our group. Serving was quite fast. I would recommend clear tom yam soup from the shop which reminds me every time when I'm craving for tom yam soup. The delicacy of the soup was quite perfect though a bit spicy for those who cannot take spicy food. The cost for our group is about $120++ which seems affordable. The environment is quite cozy and nice to hang out for a group chat or discussion.

I decided to go Buffet Town to treat my mom who came and visited to Sg. As the restaurant offers a wide range of cuisines, i can let my mom to try almost all kinds of cuisine available and famous here in one-shot! True enough that all the must-try food in sg available there! We went there for Sunday lunch which was cost about $35 per pax and enjoyed there for long lunch enough to cover entire lunch period 11:30am to 3pm ;P

We tried almost every dish ... starting with Sushi, fresh Seafood, Grilled mix, Pizzas, Local delights such as Laksa... sweet ending with waffles, crepes & ice-creams, chocolate foundae, variety of fresh fruits!!!

If you are dessert-lover, BT is a definitely a choice for you. My mom enjoyed a lot and had a great family time lol

We tried Duck Roasted with Ten Wonder Herbs which is signature dish of the shop. Like it is famous, combination of herbal and duck is quite delicate and heavenly taste and the gravy is quite smooth dissolving herbal into the meat. HIGHly Recommeded! Our second order was Braised Assorted Mushroom with Broccoli which was also quite delicious ~~
Our last dish was in dismay. I forgot the name... it was like every other spring rolls you can see everywhere but the charge here is like for special dish. sad

Besides the dishes, classical look of the restaurant and hanging roasted ducks are attractive factors of the restaurant as well. The Chinese tea that they served also quite a nice one.

We went there using $20 GroupOn Voucher which worth for $40. We ordered Grilled platter, Seafood Tomyam soup and papaya salad. Grilled platter won't be disappointed you at all with a mix of chix, beef, prawn and squids and tom yam soup as well was quite a spicy delicious one. But payaya salad was quite normal like street food and not a restaurant level one.

Since it was on Friday evening, there's long queue and waiting time was about 30mins. And the restaurant is quite small even though interior design is not bad.

Our order - Steamed squids, Pepper Prawn, Seafood soup and fried rice.
We spend $36.10 including drinks! Only pepper prawn could be said "Satisfied" and "Recommended"! smile Seafood soup was totally not nice, no taste at all with limited content. Steamed Squids tasted not bad but did not cleaned inside properly. Fried rice was just normal taste. If you are squid-lover, probably try sambal or fried ones instead of steamed ones.
