Delicious noodles, its dry beef Hor Fun is one of the the best in Jurong and Clementi areas. The shop charges S$2.90 for Chinese tea and it only provides a glass of tea without any single tea leaf. The standard of service is not high. When I tried to place order, the staff simply told me to order on line. I ordered a soup and a Hor Fun, the shop only gave me one spoon and expect the customer use the same spoon to eat both food of different favours. Read More

The restaurant was located just after the bridge from the MRT station. The place looked empty from outside but we were showed to a table all the way to the end, next to the noisy kitchen. Being hungry, we just stick to the table.Classic Ting Zai Congee 荔湾艇仔粥  (S$9.30++)Sliced fish, cuttlefish & shredded porkThe porridge was served with crispy fried dough fritters and shredded cabbage. XO Carrot cake XO 酱炒萝卜糕 ($10.80++)Not very spicy, but I would prefer it to be more crispy.Double Boiled Pork Softbone with Watercess 西洋菜西施骨汤 (S$7.80++)The pork was very tender and the soup was flavourful.Seasonal Vegetable with Assorted Egg in Superior Broth 金银蛋浸时蔬 ($15.80++)Spinach with salted egg, century egg, and egg. Although century egg was strong in flavour, it did not overwhelmed the dish.Crispy Beancurd Cube with Salt and Pepper 黄金豆腐粒 ($7.80++)Simple dish but flavourful on its own.Washed down with Ginger Tea with Pomelo Honey 姜茶柚子蜜 ($3.10++), which I would prefer the ginger taste to be stronger.Read More

Platter of roasted meat (approx $22+)This platter of meat was not bad. if you are craving for many types of roast meat, get this dish! the roasted meat skin was very crispy and they were not oily. The meat was tender too. Broccoli with mushrooms (approx $15)The broccolis were cooked nicely, not undercooked nor overcooked. The gravy was nice too as it complemented the mushrooms and broccoli well. the mushrooms were juicy as well and was a great combination with the vegetables. It was a simple yet fulfilling dinner.Read More

I went to the new Crystal jade outlet at Clementi mall. I ordered a shrimp dumpling (Siew mai), Shrimp dumpling noodles and fish porridge. When you are craving for Hong Kong Chinese food and Dim Sum, going to Crystal Jade will never go wrong. The Shrimp dumpling was alright and it was served warm. The Shrimp dumpling noodle was as usual as I always order this when I frequent Crystal Jade. My friend had fish porridge which I thought it was nice as well. The porridge at Crystal Jade is cook to congee style. I really like this kind of style of porridge cooked till it is soft and creamy. Read More

Since I'm Cantonese, dim sum is practically a staple and must-have food for me. Went down to the Crystal Jade Kitchen at Clementi Mall for brunch with the boyfriend since we both had an off day from school. I've a few favourites that I highly recommend!-Har GaoThe prawns inside are always juicy, fresh and so yummy it melts in my mouth! I order this every single time I go.-Carrot CakeI love the carrot cake, it's slightly crispy at the edges and so full of flavour. Lately, I find they make it saltier though. If it gets any saltier, it may cease to be a favourite.-Liu Sha BaoThe salted egg inside is so delicious, I slurp every inch of it up!LikesHar Gao & Liu Sha BaoDislikesThey charge for water. So, I usually order a pot of tea.Service could be better, it takes quite awhile to get a waiter's attention.Spending: Approximately $40 for 2 peopleRead More

Craving for simple dinner, we walked in to Crystal Jade at Clementi Mall and ordered only two dishes. Coincidentally both with eggs. Simmerred seasonal vegetable in superior broth ($12.80) is a good dish on a hot day. The vegetable is simmerred till very soft, and the broth together with egg, salted egg and century egg is good in flavour. Sauteed shrimp with scrambled egg ($13.80) is a dish that goes well with rice. The shrimps are fresh and huge, with crunchy texture. Read More

I always reckon Crystal Jade serves descent Chinese food and it's a good place for casual dinner, though the dishes here don't really have so much of the wow factor. We had the Braised beancurd with black mushroom and vegetables ($11.8). The beancurd is slightly hard on the outside, but inside is silky smooth, pretty good. Steamed eggplant with minced meat and preserved vegetables ($10.8) is an awesome dish! I first thought it could be very salty due to the preserved vegetables, but it's not. The saltiness and the sweetness are so well-balanced. The eggplant is steamed till very tender, and fully absorbed the flavourful gravy. It's definitely a great dish to go with plain rice!Read More

Nice ambience & great serviceliu sha pao - egg filling bursts into your mouth when you sink your mouth in it. tried this dish in several places. this looks the most appetizing due to its orange hue colour and is slightly sweeter.har gaw - simple and delicatesteamed pork rib - something salty to complement your mealRead More

Went to crystal jade kitchen for our lunch with my parents after school. They do provide a variety of food for us to choose from, noodles, rice, porridge, individual dishes. Certain dishes are more expensive and some are average as other places. The food we ordered taste great, fresh, and came hot. Definitely be back for lunch or dinner again!Read More

went there to eat with my parents during father's day, since is a sunday so expected the place to be crowded but didnt wait too long since we went there early. the food was ok, typical crystal jade stuff but somehow i dont really like their dim sum, the taste just not that good and not to my preference. service was still ok at this outlet but one bad thing was the restaurant designs. i dont really like to dine with lot of pipes lying openly above my head. the decoration for this outlet was abit sad but i guess if just for a fast meal then shldnt b too particular abt itRead More

First time trying out this Crystal Jade outlet. Quite big and spacious and nice interior decoration compared to most of their other outlets. Ordered the Simmered Chinese Spinach with Assorted Eggs in Superior Broth. This dish is up to standard and tasty. A generous serving of century eggs, salty eggs and normal eggs. Broth not too salty and just nice to taste.Braised chicken with chestnut served in claypot is not as good though. The gravy is ok but chicken is not well marinated and no taste at all. Chestnuts also not cooked till soft. However i like the long beans with minced pork and shrimps. A bit spicy but at least the minced pork is well marinated and long beans are fresh and crunchy.Fried mackerel fish with salad is not a well combined taste i think. Luckily they provide a sauce for the fish. The sauce actually save the dish i think! Read More

Went to this chinese restaurant. We were served with peanuts when seated. Ordered their yang chow fried rice at $10.50 per plate. It comes with generous amount of prawns and char siew(chinese bbq pork) and egg. We requested for plain water and we were not told that it costs thirty cents per glass and we only knew we need to pay for it when we call for the bill. We also ordered stir fried clams with preserved vegetables and chives. It was quite salty and need to drink more water in order to reduce the salty taste. We add $3.80 and can get a drink and a dessert which we ordered the red bean cake. Overall experience is fine.Read More
