Was craving for some hot bowl of ramen at Ion and my friend recommended me to this restaurant - AOBA Hokkaido Ramen, where they serve pretty decent ramen. I ordered pork shabu shabu with a black base (black pepper) as i wanted to try something different new. Usually i will order dishes like miso cha siew ramen instead.Overall, i quite like the pork as it is very tasty and well marinated. Noodles are very QQ too. However, the soup is a bit too thick for my liking. I will be back to dine again provided if there is no queue. continue reading

First time trying the japanese version of their pan fried dumplings, also known as chinese guo tia, and I still think i would prefer the chinese version. The japanese version, the dumpling skin is equally thin and smooth. However, i think is the minced pork filling in it is not as tasty as compared to the chinese version which has more seasoning in it. It is slightly crispy but the price is also quite expensive too. Think I still prefer to have ramen in future if I even visit another Japanese restaurant again. continue reading

This spicy ramen soup is really spicy and is definitely ideal for those who can take very spicy food. As for me, as I am not prepare to have it so spicy, I actually took more than four to five glasses of iced water before I can complete this whole bowl of ramen. The ramen is very chewy and portion is quite alot. The added seaweed has make this dish even more appeitizing. Would still prefer it to be not so spicy as is not really an enjoyment to taste this bowl of ramen. Still... this bowl of ramen is still consider to be quite yummy! continue reading

The softness of the ramen is just right. And the soup is nice too,as it is not very concentrated. The miso soup is abit salty but i still can accept it.And it gots bit of pork taste.Maybe some people will not like it,but i like it.The ingredients they used are also fresh and quite much.I like the corn so much.So it is quite worth to spend $10+ to have a bowl of nice ramen. continue reading

Weekend is finally here, me and my friends trained down to orchard and decided to settle our dinner @ AOBA Hokkaido Ramen. There are lots of choices for you to choose and also you can choose to have either noodles or stone rice and also additional of $3 to get one side dish and a drink. After much discussion, we ordered Gyokai Seafood Ramen, Gyoza 10 pcs, Shoyu Corn Ramen, Yakiniku Stone Rice Miso, Hamburger RamenHamburger ramen, a rather filling bowl of ramen because of the hamburger added inside the noodles. The soup is nice but i feel that is a little salty. One of the side dish nagoya wings the chicken wings is tender and juicy and it has a sweet taste i guess the chef must have marinated it Seafood Katsu Its nice fried and not oily, and taste delicious after dipping it with sauce provided continue reading
