Overall, i quite like the pork as it is very tasty and well marinated. Noodles are very QQ too. However, the soup is a bit too thick for my liking.

I will be back to dine again provided if there is no queue.

First time trying the japanese version of their pan fried dumplings, also known as chinese guo tia, and I still think i would prefer the chinese version. The japanese version, the dumpling skin is equally thin and smooth. However, i think is the minced pork filling in it is not as tasty as compared to the chinese version which has more seasoning in it. It is slightly crispy but the price is also quite expensive too. Think I still prefer to have ramen in future if I even visit another Japanese

This spicy ramen soup is really spicy and is definitely ideal for those who can take very spicy food. As for me, as I am not prepare to have it so spicy, I actually took more than four to five glasses of iced water before I can complete this whole bowl of ramen. The ramen is very chewy and portion is quite alot. The added seaweed has make this dish even more appeitizing. Would still prefer it to be not so spicy as is not really an enjoyment to taste this bowl of ramen. Still... this bowl o

The softness of the ramen is just right. And the soup is nice too,as it is not very concentrated. The miso soup is abit salty but i still can accept it.And it gots bit of pork taste.Maybe some people will not like it,but i like it.The ingredients they used are also fresh and quite much.I like the corn so much.So it is quite worth to spend $10+ to have a bowl of nice ramen.

Hamburger ramen, a rather filling bowl of ramen because of the hamburger added inside the noodles. The soup is nice but i feel that is a little salty.

The ramen here is not as chewy as other Japanese restaurant out there. However they may be one of the best Japanese restaurant to have produce delicious ramen soup base for their different ranges of ramen. Attracted by the lone queue ( well.. only good food deserve waiting? ), i decided to get their ramen for dinner. after a long wait, i finally got a seat and ordered a bowl of ramen. It was quite disappointing to realise that the taste is just average. Serving is quite generous and price is not too expensive.

I have ordered the Miso Char Siew Ramen, that comes with one slice of pork (char siew), and an onsen egg. The egg is cooked beautifully, with nice orangy colour of the half-boiled egg yolk. Very delicious. The char siew is very tender and well-marinated. However, I reckon the soup is a bit too oily. Side dish chicken karaage is the deep-fried chicken pieces (without bones). Personally I am not a fans of Kyoza (pan-fried dumpling) here, because it tastes pretty ordinary, and slightly burn.

This place sells fantastic ramen and at affordable prices as well! Their half ramen only costs $8 and is able to satisfy your stomach! Their original ramen noodles are springy and delicious and the ramen is salty like how ramen should be. Their egg is cooked to perfection and is something you must add along with your ramen!

AOBA caught my attention because of the persistent queues forming even during after lunch hours plus the fact that my stomach was rumbling when we walked past it.

The place isn't big, with a seating capacity of about 30 people or so, which probably explains the queue. Tables for 2 are spaced uncomfortably close, so any notions of having private conversations can be thrown right out of the window.

Fried Tofu - It was never my intention to order the fried tofu, but since it carried a 50% discount, cheapo/greedy me conveniently added that to the order. And it was average at best. The skin tasted limp but still palatable.

Ebi Mayonnaise - Small prawns coated with a thick layer of flour, deep fried and drizzled with copious amounts of mayonnaise - a recipe for unhealthy eating. But I'm a sucker for the prawn and mayo combo so this dish turned out fine. Decent but not outstanding. And pretty expensive at that (1 small prawn, $1).

Shoyu Tontoro Ramen - The ramen reminded me of the traditional Chinese yellow egg noodles, albeit a little thinner, chewier and sans the alkaline taste. The broth had a strong taste of pork but came across as a wee bit too salty and too much of it can make you woozy. The pork slices were relatively tender and soft while the egg was nicely done without the yolk being too soft. Portions are small for the price though.

Shio Scallop Ramen - The scallops were rather tasteless to begin with and while the ramen was of the same variant as my tontoro ramen, the broth was much lighter and free of any pork taste.

It’s good and well worth a visit, but I wouldn’t queue up for this given the wealth of choices here
