This is Breadtalk's Signature Pork Floss Bun ($1.70). The price has increased over the years and honestly, I don't think it is worth it for this price. I can get the same bread elsewhere for a lot cheaper and the quality would be about the same. I only patronized BreadTalk as I was in a mall and there didn't seem to be another bakery. Nevertheless, the bread was indeed soft and the floss was fluffy. I don't doubt that BreadTalk sells quality bread but I find that the price is a little steep.

Heavy weight Hawaiian square sized Pizza at S$2.50 has reasonably explained why it is so pricey.
Covered with tasty sliced ham all over the top with sweetened pineapples cubes and cheese. One of my favourite bread in breadtalk.

Breads are individually packed in a small plastic bag with the name "BreadTalk".

Service
Average service rendered.

Ambience
Hygiene is an issue. There is a fly landing on the bread and no one seems to have noticed it. Staff should be trained on this area.

Price
Due to bread-talk's recent hike in price, I had cut down my visits alot. Their competitors has a better pricing of similar quantity bread.

Recommendations / Tips
Try its Hawaiian pizza.

Bread Talk was having a promotion. Buy 1 bread for $1.10 each, but 12 bread cost $12. This was the promotion. My mother chose only 5 bread, but a woman with 7 bread came to her and ask her if she wanted to combine to get 12 bread, so that they only had to pay $1 for each bread. My mother agreed. There wasn't any chocolate in the bread, but it was coated in sugar and topped was chocolate chip. It was sweet and nice, the chocolate chip not too hard, not too soft. However, the amount of chocolate chips on the bread was very few. If there were more, the bread would be nicer. Still, it was a good promotion.

I wanted to buy some bread for breakfast the next day. I was wondering around and decided to go to BreadTalk. My favorite bun is the pork floss bun. The bun is soft and fluffy, the pork floss topping on bun is also generous. The mayo-like cream sauce is not too sweet and hold the floss to the bun well.

Breadtalk is an established local bakery that has since expanded beyond Singapore. The brand is renowned for originating the "Floss" bread. Reason for me to choose Breadtalk because Breadtalk christmas cakes are so lovely and I believe it's birthday cake must be nice to eat as well. Moreover, it offers lots of variety as I compared with Bengawan Solo and Polar.

Anyway, I bought a ChocoCaramel 8" Cake from Westmall breadtalk (bearby my workplace) for my China dolly (Miss Dou Lili) on her 26th birthday yesterday according to her Chinese Lunar Calendar 4709, Year of the Hare.

However, her actual birthday for year 2011 calendar is on 13 September 2011.

Service was great there. The staffs were friendly but expect long queue everytime you go there.

She quite like the cake actually and will try out their other cakes during my mother's 64th birthday on 24 October 2011.

Conclusion: What I find commendable are its birthday cakes which I find reasonable on it's price due to 20% Off WholeCake promotion for UOB Visa Preferred Platinum cardholder, tastes great, with a focus on health.

I have tried the cheese anpan bread before and I am trying it again. The bread is soft and fluffy and the red bean filling is sweet enough, together with a little cream cheese inside. The red bean filling is the japanese type, where you can see some of the beans which are not fully mashed up. I think it is the cheese that makes the bread a little different from the usual red bean bread.

First time trying breadtalk's white bread. Bought a loaf (think around half loaf only) for my family as the next day breakfast today. Usually, i will buy those white bread (gardenia or sunshine) that i can get from a supermarket. Anyway, quite like the whitebread from breadtalk. It taste fresh, soft and quite fluffy. But it is more expensive than those that i get from supermarket. This half loaf costs $2.40 whereas a half loaf from gardenia is around $1.40.

Its been quite some time i bought breadtalk cakes ever since i felt quite dissapointed with the standard of their cakes a few years ago. I remember a few years back, the standard of their cakes is really way below cakes from other cakes shop like Four leaves or bakerinz etc. Anyway, i bought a Rum & Raisin cake from Westmall breadtalk (nearby my house) for my mom on her birthday recently. I think breadtalk cakes did have some improvement, not too bad at all. My mom quite like the cake actually.
