Chocolate Prata! This is the first time I am trying such an innovative Prata flavor! The Prata is visually very appealing coming in sort of a bridge shape! Surprisingly it is quite different from your usual Prata, being super crispy almost like a biscuit unlike normal pratas! Doused in lots of chocolate sauce and sprinkles this makes for a really fun and delicious dessert Prata! The plain pratas here are really good! They are crispy on the outside while being soft and fluffy on the inside. Freshly made to order the piping hot pratas go really well with either curry or sugar which comes in a convenient bottle on each table for you to add as much as you want! In fact the pratas are so good you can even eat them plain! Plus they only cost one dollar each!

This place seems to be popular, but i dont really get why. Based from my own experience, the prata was not satisfying at all. Served luke warm, the prata was definitely not crispy. And it was really paper thin. I dont recall ordering paper prata so that was suprising. When i was there with my friends, it was, what looked like almost a full house. Hmm maybe i choose the wrong dish on the menu?

Casuarina Curry has definitely evolved to be an iconic place in this Casuarina estate, having operating for many many years already. Its been a while since i last came back. Till today i can't distinguish between masala chicken and butter chicken
. The masala chciken cost $10, kosong prata $1 each and teh cino at $2.50. Both Air conditioned and outdoor seating are available.

Thosai is a South Indian cuisine. Think crepes and you're just about there. There's a version from Sri Vijaya Vegetarian restaurant along Selegie Road that grinds their own rice to make Thosai. And there is a marked difference in the taste. Trust me. Your tastebuds will know the difference immediately.

A ladleful of batter is scooped onto a flat griddle and quickly spread out by moving the ladle in a circular motion starting from the middle outwards. Like crepes really. The batter is left to cook until little holes begin to appear and the underside has turned into a delicious golden brown. Thosai is usually eaten with dhal, a coconut chutney and "sambar". From left to right in the picture shown respectively.

The thosai here had a crispy skin with chewy insides. Those at Sri Vijaya are fluffy! The potato masala was creamy and light. If I didn't see the spices, I would have missed their mild-tasting addition altogether. It was too bland for me. I'd prefer my filling to have the addition of a bit more salt and tang from the spices to complement the plain thosai.

This was my attempt to eat healthy at a prata place. And I'm glad I did.
Note to self: Never ask for chicken curry gravy if I ever ordered prata here. It was just a terrible excuse for a chicken curry gravy. It tasted like a lot of curry powder and little of anything else.
Fish curry gravy next time. Everytime from now on.

Know for being the best roti Prata, Casuarina curry has definitely not failed to deliver. Their Prata is crispy and it is just so good with the curry especially if it is just freshly cooked. The teh Tarik is also very nice and I love the aroma of the tea and milk. In addition, we are able to see how the pratas are being made and cooked. Although the environment is not really that great, the Prata was awesome! #NTUDAC

Casuarina Curry Restaurant is very famous and i have been there a couple of times to eat their food. Today i decided to order a plain prata and an egg prata. I especially told the guy to serve me freshly made prata and i do not mind waiting as they sometime have the habit of cooking more prata and waiting for customer to order. The prata was nice and crispy ,i espically like the egg prata as the egg taste is very strong. The curry is also fragrant but not to spicy

This is my first time to come across such a prata! They called it chocolate prata. It tasted like normal prata but came in a crispy sheet and they decorated it with lot of chocolate sauce. It was a joy to look at and happy to share it with family. It is more like a dessert rather than a proper meal itself. If you are sick of the usual prata then this is an alternative worth considering. The kids love it and so do i.

This has always been the place for good prata. I still come back regularly for their plain prata with curry sauce or just eat it with sugar. They always served the prata hot even for the plain ones. I always requested to have their fish curry or chicken curry to go with the prata. The level of spiciness for the prata is well-balanced and not overwhelmed like some indian curry. This is one of the better prata in Singapore.

Best Prata that I had eaten! BUT the service at the place was quite bad. We went over after eating wanton mee from a couple of stalls down the lane, and we ordered just a few pieces of pratas to share. The service crew seemed to have a kind of snobbish look, which make us really uncomfortable. The tables and chair seemed to be kind of 'oily', and air con was not working well. I can feel the stuffiness in the restaurant even it was raining heavily outside... The prata was served with this wonderf

The prata was served with this wonderful tasty curry and the prata stayed crispy even after it was dipped in the sauce. The longish prata does not come cheap, but difinitely worth paying.

I ordered masala thosai. Ultimate disappointment! Seriously! Why Firstly, the thosai was cold and dry. Secondly, the potato filling, dry and flavourless. Nothing much to comment about the sambar and coconut chutney.
My niece ate the chocolate prata which was crispy and chocolaty (more chocolate was added upon her request) Other than that, nothing wow about it.
My verdict: Will never patronise this place again.
