This has been my choice whenever i am hit by a crazy craving for fried carrot cake. I was there this morning to have breakfast and to take away this famous carrot cake for my grandparents. I was there at about 10.25 am. I ordered a $4 plate to share with my partner and another $4 portion to be taken away for grandparents. The smallest serving is $2 followed by $3 then $4. The lady informed me that at least 20 minutes of waiting time would be expected. I remember once when i came by on a Sunday,

I was there at about 10.25 am. I ordered a $4 plate to share with my partner and another $4 portion to be taken away for grandparents. The smallest serving is $2 followed by $3 then $4. The lady informed me that at least 20 minutes of waiting time would be expected. I remember once when i came by on a Sunday, i was told that the waiting time was about 45 minutes to a hour. I have since try to avoid coming by during the weekends.

The fried carrot cake served to my table at about 20 minutes later with 2 pairs of chopsticks. I reminded the lady that i have ordered a packet to take away. She asked me to pick it up after done eating.

When I went back to the stall to pick up, the same lady asked me to wait for a little while as they would be serving those fresh from the pan. I like how they tied the packet using the raffia string in a very old school way.

My grandfather was delighted when this packet of carrot cake was presented to him. He enjoyed eating it very much. He is such a simple man with such simple pleasure.

The carrot cake was handmade by the 2 sisters right at their stall using the recipe handed down by their mother. The texture of the carrot cake was soft and moist and they pan-fried it to give it the crispiness then applied a layer of chilli on them before served.

Strongly recommended.

WA! This carrot cake ah, really the best one out there. Where can you find such crispy carrot cake?!? The auntie fries the carrot cake till it’s so crispy on the tip, it reminds me a little of eating roti prata. Yet again, good food always must wait and wait. Took me about 20 minutes before I got my carrot cake

This is another legendary hawker stall. When you asked for recommendation for good fried carrot cake, this would definitely be one of the stalls recommended. This stall was passed down to the current owners from their mother her mother. The daughters are still handmade the carrot cake right at the stall after the stall closed at 1pm using the more than 40 years old small aluminium bowls to steam them. This is no doubt one of the best fried carrot cake in Singapore. You can choose from $2.00, $3.0

This is no doubt one of the best fried carrot cake in Singapore. You can choose from $2.00, $3.00 or $4.00. I usually go for the $4.00 and to share it with my partner. You might want to take note that only the white version is served here. The carrot cake was well fried at one side and leaving the other side slightly fried, this is exactly the way i love it done, i love especially the crispiness.

If you come during weekends, the waiting time can be as long as 45 minutes to 1 hour. So, do come on a weekday if you hate the long waiting time.

Strongly recommended.
