What has happened to Tiong Bahru Plaza’s Kopitam! The lights are dim, the air conditioning isn’t cold at all. Having a long break I didn’t come around this area, today I visited there again for my lunch. Lunch time, it hasn’t has big crowd. The moment I stepped in, I felt “sweat” as it hardly could feel the air conditioning. Anyway, I decided to have lunch there, walking around the food stalls few rounds, hesitating what to eat….finally I made up my mind to claypot dish.
I went to the last stall who was serving claypot rice and noodles as its stall name. I have pork rib with mixed veggie and rice. When the claypot was served, it was bubbling. Easily I could find my seat, oh my, it was warm having bubbling claypot food at this mal-function air conditioning foodcourt!
First taste of the soupy sauce, taste OK to my like. Pork ribs were soften after a long boiled as well as the mixed veggie, it contained black fungus, carrot and plenty cabbage shreds. I would consider the portion they serve was decent, plus the bowl of rice, it filled me up for a good afternoon.
After finishing my food, I perspired! It wasn’t because of chilli hot as I didn’t take chilli sauce. I wanted to complain to the management for the air conditioning problem!!!
I am sitting in the office and writing this review now, I need to drink plentiful of water as the claypot pork ribs contained tons of MSG. Nope, I won’t eat there again for claypot dish if the air-conditioning isn’t fixed on my next visit.
