Apart from the above, you can't really find fault with Da Lian. Business is very good during lunch time so be sure to order before you get a seat. With more than 3 staffs plus the stall owner during operation, I really wonder how many hundreds of bowls they sell a day.Price has increased for the year. Minimum is now $3 instead of $2.Portion wise, it is fit for those who normally add in $0.50 or $1 more for their noodles. I can barely finish a $3 and I'm quite a pig.Soup is mediocre. Seaweed, preserved vegetable, and minced meat bits, though they are rather generous with the seaweed, it usually comes covering the entire soup bowl. Taste is rather bland if not for the preserved vegetable. continue reading

Was feeling under the weather and wanted to go for a healthier version, so I ordered a meepok dry noodle with some ketchup sauce. The noodles tasted as good as usual, not too hard or clumped together. The mushroom is very very tasty and the fishballs were so springy. More ketchup would have tasted better but overall, it’s still not bad. continue reading

Noodles at very affordable prices and good service! No bowls will stay at the table for more than 2 minutes. The staff are extremely efficient in clearing the tables. The soup is quite tasteless but the noodles make up for it., The ingredients are bountiful for the price and there is really nothing significant to complain about. continue reading

Bustling crowds and the humid environment will never deter from having a bowl of Da Lian noodles whenever I feel like having one.During peak hours, the waiting time can be a little horrendous, even though there maybe up to 4 staffs in operation, including the owner himself. That's how well business is. Portion is fit for those who usually stomach upsized meals.I can barely finish a $3 even though I'm quite a pig.Nothing to shout about the soup. Seaweed, preserved vegetable, and minced meat bits, though they are rather generous with the seaweed, it usually comes covering the entire soup bowl. Taste is rather bland if not for the preserved vegetable. The plus point to this stall would be their dry chili, containing dried shrimps. Fantastic! It's not too dry, salty and oily, it's rather spicy too! Though their noodles may not be as springy as Ah Guan's down the road, their chili and portion makes up for it. Their mushrooms are well marinated and are rather generous with their meat too. Service staff are well mannered and will cater to your specifications on how you want your noodles to be. continue reading
