When looking for something sweet to complete my dinner, my attention was caught by the queue right at this stall. I waited and ordered a ice kachang for $1.50. A big pile of colorful shaved iced in cone shape topped with red bean dripping down. It was served with generous ingredients like atap seeds, jelly cubes, grass jelly and sweet corns nicely hidden right at the bottom of the shaved ice. The texture of the shaved ice was rather fine and tasted creamy with just the right level of sweetness

The texture of the shaved ice was rather fine and tasted creamy with just the right level of sweetness.

This, definitely amongst the better ice kachang that i ever tasted. Simple yet an economical way to sweeten a meal without hurting your pocket.

Yummy Ice kachang from this food market. The service from the stall uncle is very friendly and fast, the stall is also very clean and tidy too. Bought the iced kachang at only $2.20 per portion, which is really generous and delicious. Love those chewy green jelly which are very chewy and not too sweet. Even the cooked red bean is fragrant and appetizing. Generous amount of evaporated milk has been added in it which make this dessert very tasty.

Well, I had the Fa Ji dessert (tau suan) at $1.30. It wasn't really fanstatic but I will prefer it when it is more sweet. The bean can also be cooked more thorough so that it would softer and easier to swallow! Other than that, nothing is really special about the tau suan! The service of the stall owners are quite friendly; however, they mixed up my dad's order as the queue started to get longer.

A bowl of warm tau suan makes a comforting dessert, especially on a wet rainy afternoon. The consistency of tau suan is just nice, not too starchy nor too runny. Sweetness is just right, not too bland where you get to taste the steamed beans. The dessert is being serve together with some you tiao which absorbed the sweetness of the dessert. Simply awesome!

Brought a bowl of the durian ice kachang as dessert after lunch.Presentation wise not that appealing as compared to other desserts stall and their red beans is added to the top of the ice kachang and not at the bottom. As for the taste wise, the durian taste fresh and refreshing and has a nice aroma. Sweetness wise is a bit too sweet but is still acceptable, ingredients such as the cube jelly, attap seed and the cream corn are fresh and is included in this bowl of ice kachang. Price is reasonabl

We happened to be in Kovan so we went to get some dessert for night snack. This stall sells a huge variety of hot and cold desserts. For me, I love the hot desserts. I had the "dao suan" which is make of yellow beans. The beans were well cooked and they are not hard, very soft to the bite with a thick gravy or sauce. Quite sweet but not overwhelming. Have it with the prices of "you tiao" that comes with it, it will create another type of taste in your mouth. Delicious. Do give it a try.
