To me, this is one the best that i had in my life, with a great and fulfilling texture. Not light and empty on the thoughts especially I did had my fair share of disappointed experiences on mousse!

Just drop in at their outlets! You know what your stomach need!

Ops, BF's family cannot eat the beefballs here due to their religion, but we all still managed to have our dinner with some other signature dishes at Ikea! I find that the food trolley is very creative as you can put 3 trays in it. I also realized that the queue in any ikea (in Sg) is always LONG! Well, that doesnt stop me from queueing for a good 15 mins before i get to order the food! I ordered a Salmon Ratatouille ($7.50) for myself. I ordered a Salmon Ratatouille ($7.50) for myself. It is served with crushed peppercorns, served with potato wedges and ratatouille on the side. The ratatouille sauce goes well with the salmon. However i find that the pepper on the salmon can be better if they were smaller or undetectable in texture.

I had a pleasant dinner in ikea and looking forward for the meatballs in my next visit!

The chicken wings at Ikea is still one of the best in town. You can see almost every table has ordered their wings. The chicken wings was wonderfully cooked and almost snapped up immediately by shoppers. The chicken meat was not too dry though it looked abit dark on the outside. You can taste the tenderness of the meat and some crispy part of the tail end of the wing. A must for the wings if you visit Ikea.

Ikea..this is one of my favourite hunts. Whenever I have the time or I need to get some decor for my home, I would go to Ikea. And when I am there, I will not miss out the food. One of the items that I would usually order will be the meat balls. A whole 10 pieces of meat balls with potato and the jam/sauce was so nice. Yummy. I tried the IKEA Cafe a while ago, during lunch hour. It was super packed, but we were glad that we found seats. We went for their specialties, which were the meatballs and the chicken wings, since nearly every table had those two dishes. The meatballs:
It's quite delicious, soft and juicy, with the jam-like sauce to add a tinge of sweetness, and the sauce is quite a heavenly combination. It's not that cheap, but not too expensive, but too much of it would make you feel quite sick of it. Hence, it'll be good if a few of you share a plate of meatballs.

The chicken wing:
I absolutely have no idea why people want to order the chicken wing, because it was really really oily. Although I love chicken wings, but I found this a tad too oily for my liking, because the oil was literally dripping oil on the tissue I was holding it with. I don't like the taste. Period. Too oily for my liking too.

All in all, it's a nice place to dine, but it can be quite irritating especially with many families eating over there, and it's really difficult to find seats.

This is what you may expect at IKEA CAFE @ Alexandra!

My friend had the mee goreng ($5.90) which she says is not bad.

As i wasn't feeling that hungry, i ordered the kids meal which came with 5 meatballs, a side of mash potato and their delicious lingonberries jam.

As we know, Lingonberry jam has always been a staple food in Scandinavian cuisine. Not only is it delicious, it packs alot of vitamin C which we all know is good for our immunity! I liked how it is not overly sweet and complements the meatballs really well!

The meatballs are made with pork and chicken and is a little round ball of pleasure, bursting with flavour! I especially loved the dish when paired with the sauce (as compared to the jam)

The aroma of the food reached my nose before I could even see it. And the fact that nearly everyone queuing before me included a plate of meatballs in their purchases made me so sure that I would definitely follow suit. Plus, I got to eat all 10 myself since my bf doesn't eat beef (the meatballs are made up of a mixture of pork & beef actually)

With a plate of meatballs safely on my tray, I also took a plate of chicken wings as the smell just got me hooked. For my main course, I also took a chicken drumstick with sides while my bf took the salmon. And I regretted taking the chicken drumstick, not because it wasn't nice but finishing the plate of meatballs got me 3/4 full. I wasn't sure what was the accompanying sauce made of but it was simply yummy, with the add-on cranberry sauce (I think). The chicken wings were also crispy and juicy, unlike some wings I ate which were hard and dry. These are definitely the two must-try side dishes at Ikea!

What else can I say about the famous swedish meatballs? I love them. I believe most people in Singapore have at least tried the meatballs at Ikea once so far. A mixture of beef and pork meatballs with cream sauce and lingonberry jam, served with side dish of boiled potatoes(you can request for a swap to broccoli cos I love my greens). Besides I did a little research and found that a 10 meatballs serving with the gravy only contains about 400 calories, which I feel is pretty reasonable. Also orde

Also ordered some desserts to go with, a slice of Daim chocolate cake and Blueberry Cheesecake each. Soooo good to end off a meal.

Seriously, is there anyone who doesn't love the IKEA meatballs after they ate them? I bet not.Don't be bluff by the IKEA's big name in the local furniture industry, it is not only good in manufacturing furniture, their cafe is even more astounding with their wide range of food. I supposed everyone who went to eat there before will definitely go back whenever they can, even if it means traveling down to "ulu" places like Queenstown or Tampines. Seriously, is there anyone who doesn't love the IKEA meatballs after they ate them? I bet not.

Don't be bluff by the IKEA's big name in the local furniture industry, it is not only good in manufacturing furniture, their cafe is even more astounding with their wide range of food. I supposed everyone who went to eat there before will definitely go back whenever they can, even if it means traveling down to "ulu" places like Queenstown or Tampines.

Obviously, my favorite dish is the Swedish meatballs - a mixture of beef and pork meat, with a layer of mushroom sauce on it PLUS boiled potatoes. Gawd, this is the best combination. The sauce is what it takes to hold the whole dish together. It's like eating an appetizer and a main course together!

Next in the list of IKEA food that I love is the Chicken Drumstick (I forgot what's the real name but you get the drift). I am really picky with chicken meat actually, I like it tender, I like it when there's more than just the "chicken taste". IKEA cafe made this dish so good that every time I go back, I would definitely order this dish!

Last but not least, their another speciality is their Chicken wings! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Most importantly, it doesn't taste as oily as what is sold outside (eg. coffeeshop). Trust me, IKEA cafe is ALWAYS flooded with people eating their chicken wings AND meatballs! Call at least 2 friends with you and order all their specialties! Eat double the share with half the price you pay!

Oh, by the way! Try not to be there around lunch/dinner hour. The queue and the wait for seats can be quite horrendous if you have walked around for very long because of the influx of crowd in there! It makes me think that everyone's motive at IKEA is to eat, instead of looking for furniture! Funny, but interesting sight.

As service is not really needed there, I shall not elaborate much. One thing you must take note is also... CLEAR YOUR OWN DISHES!
