These char siew bao are our favourite snack during the tea time hours. The bao texture is very fluffy and compact and is simply delicious. The char siew meat inside is very fragrant, tender and juicy. YOu will never have enough of it and usually we will order more than a dozen to share with our whole family members. The price is reasonable and sold out very fast daily as well. continue reading

My colleague suggested we went to imperial treasure for dinner. what I like most of all the food we ordered was the xiao long bao. The xiao long bao was very juicy. the skin was not too thick, however when you use your chopstick to pick it up, it does not break. the soup in the xiao long bao was very tasty and not too salty. the meat was minced very finely. When dipped in the vinegar, it taste absolutely good. continue reading

Came here for dinner and had ordered the xiao long bao as well as their dumplings..The fried rice was an enormous mound and smelled very fragrant. There was quite a number of shrimps inside as well. The Dan Dan Mian had the correct taste but there seemed to be a lack of spring onions or vegetables. They also didn't properly "cut" the noodles. To be honest, I was disappointed with the presentation of the dishes that came out of the kitchen. The dumplings and xiao long bao that we also ordered came out not looking like a decent shape (hence, no pictures). Thankfully, the skin didn't break, but the skin seemed rather thick and not even in all the spots. I would recommend that if you order the xiao long bao, ordering the dumplings may seem repetitive cause they tasted rather similar. Note to self to not come here to eat when wanting to impress others or with not-so-close company. continue reading

As stated in the name of the restaurant, this place specialises in La Mian and Xiao Long Bao. I should have ordered the La Mian instead of the Shanghai fried rice which is a disappointment. What I get looks totally different as how it looks like in the menu. If you compare the picture 2 with the one in the menu, you will notice that there is no prawn in the Shanghai fried rice which is served to me. Nevertheless, the rest of the dishes such as the salted egg yolk prawn, the beijing dumpling, xiao long bao and the mango puddling taste quite good. In short, you can try of the food except for the fried rice. continue reading
