There isn't much information available right now because the website is not up. The only information I could garner is that they "serve a sheer variety of delectable delights, including classics such as Nigiri sushi, Chirashi and Robatayaki. My friend *J recommended it for our gathering with *L, and we were here for lunch.

For mains, *J had the Green Tea Noodles that came in a huge bowl of ice, authentically Japanese style. There were also seaweed on the side, as well as an array of homemade sauces to go along. Noodles were springy and redolent of green tea aroma in every bite; *J told us that she would order this every time she visited.
Salmon Sashimi Don

I had the Salmon Sashimi Don (raw salmon slices in rice bowl) that came as a set as well. It was a pleasant surprise as we were not expecting it. The set comprised a piping bowl of hot Miso Soup as well as Chawanmushi - the latter was satin smooth and contained refreshing hints of citrus. The salmon sashimi slices were thick and generous in portion - each piece was tender, fresh and springy in texture. The rice was well-cooked and soft; making it really enjoyable to polish off the whole bowl of delicacy.

I'm impressed with the small details they take pride in for their food presentation even for add on appetizer to the set meals. The sashimi were bright in colors and were really fresh; chefs weren’t stingy with the portion, each slices were of reasonable thickness that you can devour and savour the freshness and sweetness of the sashimi!

We ordered Wakadori Teriyaki ($12.80) from the Set Lunch menu, it’s applicable for dinner too if you’re wondering! Wakadori Teriyaki tasted really good and different from all the teriyaki chicken i had tried thus far, though it’s just pan fried chicken with teriyaki sauce, but the chicken were specially crispy on the skin and particularly tender and juicy on the meat. The sauce were savory to the right note too. Really am pleasantly surprise by this simple and common dish served yet with extraordinary flavors!

We ordered only one main dish, so that we have the stomach for some nigiri sushi and robatayaki! We ordered their salmon and tuna nigiri sushi ($1.50; $1.00). Similar to the style of japanese sushi restaurant, minimum sushi rice but topped with a big slab of sashimi! Awesome!

Ordered a couple of robatayaki skewers too. Chicken wing skewers ($2.40)! Each of the skewers were served in the state where it tastes its best and with the chicken wing skewers being the most delicious of all! It was crisp on the skin and juicy in the meat, accompanied with some sort of belacan sauce, that were a little spicy and savory and it went pretty well with the wings skewers!

All in all, it was a satisfying meal at Kai Sushi & Robatayaki whereby chefs whipped up delectable delights which were on par with those served in traditional japanese house using quality ingredients yet pricing it reasonably!

The service and attitude was very good, so we just ordered Iced Green Tea.

We are glad that we got the best agadashi tofu we ever had.

Miso soup has salmon slices in it too.

Food is very fresh, so we hope that all food lovers will try here after reading this review.

Conclusion: Highly recommended because it has great value and consistently good food.

This place wasn't very crowded even during dinner hours although there is limited seating, and it's located at the basement of plazasing, which you would pass by on the way to the mrt. I stopped by for a quick meal and got the mackerel which the staff recommended; the whole set costs about $9+. The fish was well grilled, and does not have much bones, and it was also well seasoned and not too salty. Portion was a little small though.

The Miso soup was packed with a lot of ingredients which was really value for money.

The wonderful thing about sitting at the bar counter is the view of the chefs preparing your food. The Teriyaki Salmon and Cod were nicely cooked and simply Oishii.

As i was on my way to an appointment and didn't have much time to spare for a sit down lunch, i bought 2 packets of salmon temakis as they look good with the generous big cube of salmon instead of more rice than salmon.
As expected the maki did not disappoint me as the salmon was fresh and rice was nice and i will certainly go in for a good meal the next time.
