Recently, I was craving for spicy mamak mee. “Mamak” is a term commonly used in Malaysia, it refers to Malay-style. The ingredients of Malay-style Noodles are not fixed. It can be darker in its colour or chilli-red. Personally, I prefer hot and spicy fried noodles. Not too salty but spicy anyway. Putting prawns, vegetables, eggs and fish cakes inside noodles. I wouldn't say it was excellent yet it still acceptable. The price was fair, $3.50 per plate.

I was treated with this packet of hokkien mee from one of my friend and I am very thankful I get to try it as the taste is quite good. The noodles are very chewy and the portion is quite generous too. The thinly sliced pork belly really makes this noodles more fragrant and also added that extra flavour to ti. The sotong and prawns are very fresh and crunchy too. Delicious and I will recommend this to my friends.

At $2, I can't seem to find fault with this dish. It embodies the assam, spiciness and ingredients of our local mee siam. Been hoon is tasteless by itself though it's fried with some chilli. The chilli used here is the same as those for the hokkien mee at this stall. Surprisingly, it blends in well with the gravy.
