Buffalo chicken wings. The chicken wings in deep fried serve with the special sauce they made is perfectly match. Six pieces buffalo chicken wings with the price S$12.90. Mixed Grilled. It is always my favourite. Grilled chicken, fish, sausage and egg like this just can fill up my stomach. Mixed Grilled is just S$11.90 !!Grilled pork chop! The pork is tender and juicy. NICE ! Serve with the mashed potato only cost S$ 12.90

 Taste-wise, there was nothing to complain but texture-wise, the steak felt like it was just defrosted–you can taste the ice although the steak was hot–and the quality of the steak was very inferior, grainy. The quality made me doubt whether it was safe to eat it. (It was, nothing happened to me.)

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. The kiosk needs to either lower the price or purchase higher quality of beef. I’d file it under “not-sure” recommendation. This kiosk may be one of those places I’d hate but will return again because bo-pian what, no choice, it’s the few and convenient steak places in Orchard.

Needed to buy something at Taka and didn't want Ajisen. So when the lift doors open to Mingon, I remember wanting to bring my hubby here. So we found a table and ordered: 1) Crispy Mushroom - this came with the set so it's a small serving. Taste wise, it's actually not bad. 2) Mixed Grill Set - I recommended hubby to take this set since he is undecided about what to order. Needed to buy something at Taka and didn't want Ajisen. So when the lift doors open to Mingon, I remember wanting to bring my hubby here. So we found a table and ordered:

1) Crispy Mushroom - this came with the set so it's a small serving. Taste wise, it's actually not bad.

2) Mixed Grill Set - I recommended hubby to take this set since he is undecided about what to order. It's got a little of the diff meat and an egg to top the set, every item he likes. Hubby said it was not bad. Quite value for money for the spread.

3) Strip-loin with Red Wine Juice - since I've tried their mixed grill set, I thought I'll try something else for a chance. The strip-loin was not very thick but the cut was decent. There was a strip of fats that I decided to not eat so the actual meat consumed was not very large lor. I asked for Med Rare and they captured the timing quite well. The red wine sauce was also worth mentioning as it complimented the beef so so well.

Another makan joint for me that would be classified under "Will eat there if in the area".

That was until we spotted Mignon's Steak & Grill. We thought we wouldn't mind going for western food that night as well and we did. It is located at the food basement of Taka, not exactly much of a restaurant.. the overall is open-concept, I guess I'd say it's like a kiosk except with some dining tables and chairs.

The prices on the menu seem reasonable too. I ordered a sirloin steak while my boyfriend had the baby back pork ribs. They do serve complimentary water too, also, the food arrived to our table pretty quick.. about 10-15 minutes?

My steak was not too bad, juicy and tasty but pity it was pan-fried and not grilled. I pretty grilled steaks. It also came with mashed potatoes and side veggies. However, I feel the food was rather oily, would be better if they could use lesser oil in their cooking next time (personally, I'm into healthier eating).
