My friend said that she like this laksa cos it tasted old school to her. I ordered one with yellow noodle without the crockles at $3.00 to try. Ya the taste was good, gravy was thick enough yet not overpowering and the tau pok was soft and spongy that it picked up the gravy well, and so as the fishcake was crunchy and fresh. Tasty enough and no MSG.

This food centre at the People's Park Complex has lots of good food. I thought I should make it a point to try different stalls each time I come. Today, I was here with my cousin. We decided to try out the fishball noodle and laksa from this stall. I ordered the fishball noodle. But it was a disappointment. Though the name of the stall was called 'Ming Fa Fishball'. Their fishball were not homemade. Nothing unique about the noodles too. It tasted just like a standard fishball noodle in foodcourt

Whereas the laksa that my cousin ordered looked really delicious. It brought back memories of my younger days, when the laksa looked this way. This type of laksa was less viscous than those found in foodcourts and hawker centres nowadays. It was also redder and more spicy. It tasted really nice too. 很有古早味。 I wished I have ordered it instead of the fishball noodle.
