 Pies are freshly baked daily and in fact I was lucky to grab some which just came out of the oven. Each box was spread out with oil paper before placing the pastries into them.

 A homely taste of curry puff is what I'm taking away with. Most of the curry puff I had either taste mediocre or were too greasy too handle. The even tone of the puff and its dedicate crust was its highlights with good texture and wasn't too heavy.

 Eat while the pie is hot! The golden brown hue of the pie with flaking yummy curves had defeated me in terms of its food aesthetic, not mentioning the whiff of pastry aroma I had earlier on.

 Fillings are peppery, creamy with generous chunks of chicken as well as softened potatoes among the mixed vegetables. Pies are filling but it just did not stop me from wanting more. I like about the part where pastry were flaky and soft, yet not overly greasy.

 The middle age lady who served me was friendly and asked the arrangement of my pies and puff to be packed. Adding on to our conversation, she highlighted that if we can't finish the food on the same day, put in the fridge and thaw it for about 10 -15 minutes at room temperature before reheating them again.

I hope to be back for their pastries as well as muffins.

My fellow giod friend has assisted me to buy a box of pies for me from this popular stall.  The shop is neat with simple layout.  Chicken pies and curry pies both selling at $3.80 each, which are quite expensive.  The puff texture is thin and fluffy.  The chicken pie filling is very moist and chicken meat is tender and juicy, with generous amount of mixed diced vegetables inside.  Curry chicken is spicy and moist as well.  The chilli spicies are flavourful and appetizing.  Service from the shop

 Instead of the typical pies that are made with shortcrust, Oven Marvel makes their pies with puff pastry. I ate the pie 2 hours later and it was not soggy at all!

 Look at the filling of the chicken pie! It is filled with generous portions of chicken and the combination of creamy chunks of chicken with sweet peas will leave you wanting for more! I will come back for more of their pies and also to try their curry puff and muffins! I heard they are equally delectable as well!

Their Double chocolate is honestly the best muffin I've ever tried. Priced at $2.80 for one, it's not exactly cheap nor is it expensive. But just look at the photo. The amount of chocolate chips on it is way too generous. Plus, you'll find melting chocolate inside the muffin as well as you bite into it! Best to be eaten while served hot, cos the outer crust is hard with warm inside. ^_^

It's soft, melts in your mouth and will leave you speechless!

Service
They are always friendly and sometimes they give you tips such as how long can these pastries last - especially if you bought like tons of boxes. Most of the consumers are working adults and they will buy in bulk (ta pao for colleagues I assumed) and also the design students from nearby schools like NAFA & La Salle. Because of that, most of the items are sold out. As a result, you will need to wait 15-30 mins for the next batch.

However, you if wish to dine in or wait till the next batch comes out, you may sit at the available seating area outside their shop. There's one inside too but usually someone will be sitting there to cut their ingredients.

Suggested days
Any other day than those with the number '8' in them (eg. 8, 18, 28). 'Caz these are the days that they are closed.
Also, try to avoid peak hour - unless you don't mind waiting.

Prices $$
Muffins from $1.70
Curry Puff $2.40
Chicken Pie $3.20

I know its rather steep for normal pastries like these but personally, its worth it. You gotta eat it while its hot 'caz its freshly baked and awesome! If you wish to keep it till you reach home, I suggest you heat it up abit but I doubt it taste the same as when it is fresh from the oven.

Their muffins are banana walnut, orange peel, and chocolate chip from $1.50-$2.20. In addition, chicken pie and curry puff at $2.50 is also served with the same good quality they have set their standards to. The pies are just different, the chicken rather than bland and plain, is more creamy in the potato filling texture and the richer taste.

Take note! They always close every month on these three dates: 8th, 18th, and 28th, which these dates are etched in my memory forever as they close on my birthdate TT_TT

It was when I wanted to celebrate my diet-free birthday with stuffing good time but alas, it was close. CLOSE!
