I tried the Prawn Aglio Linguine ($8.90), and that dish reminded me of why I have not been to PastaMania in awhile - as it was lacking in taste.Service was a little slow, with one slight mess-up as they forgot my garlic bread - but at this price point and so service charge, one cannot really complain. So my final conclusion is the old items still do not stand out but the new items on the menu may be worth a shot if you are looking for a quick eat and run place.

I wanted something cheesy for my meal so I was actually looking over their range of pizzas. However, I eventually centred my attention on their pastas instead, since the waiter informed me that we have to wait longer for the pizza. I settled on the chicken ham cheesy crumble, which is chicken ham pasta with cheese sauce and topped with parmesan crumble. Sounds very cheesy indeed, but it tasted alright, the cheese taste is not too overwhelming until you can’t taste the food which is a good point.

However, I thought the pasta arrived a little cold as if it has been sitting out for quite sometime, so that is the point which I did not like.

For people who like cream based pastas, this is for you! Its eaten best with Penne instead of normal spaghetti. It also comes together with slices of sausages in it. The pasta is served with a tinge of black pepper which gives it a bit more flavour. However, halfway through it I felt very full as the cream was really filling so for those with a small appetite, you might want to share this!

I met a couple of my good friends after work and we headed to pasta mania for dinner. I ordered the spicy chicken sausage pasta upsized. The pasta was cream pasta with a tinge of spiciness. They were quite generous with their sausages. The service was really fast, we just sat down and food was served to us almost immediately. Not to mention pasta mania was rather full house on a weekday night.

Whenever I am craving for pasta, I will go to pasta mania for my pasta dose. My favourite is the spicy chicken. It is kind of spicy, you can actually see chili bits, it looks like they use chili padi. The chicken is cut to strips. They have peas as well. Really delicious!Their potato salad is really good too, the cream is very creamy and whipped till very light! One of the nicest I have eaten!

Tea break time! I ordered their soup of the day and a plate of garlic bread. It's a set thus comes along with a drink too. The soup, cream of mushroom tasted like as though it came from those supermarket canned food. Average and a little blend. Garlic bread was too soft to my liking. I ended up dipping it with my soup. Had a cup of coke for my drink. A soso tea time snack
