Christmas just over and the traditional bakery are starting to sell Chinese New Year Stuff. I did not know of this famous shop till I walked past it that day. Was attracted to the variety of traditional biscuits there and stop to take a look. Bought a few items home including the dou sha bing, lao po bing (wife biscuits), peanut, sugee and others. The best of all was the dou sha bing, both salty and sweet versions. Very fragrant and authentic! Next up is the wife biscuits which are as good! Springy and chewy packed with the yummy paste, it can be comparable to those from Hong Kong! It

It is really nice to see such traditional confectionary shops still around and providing food lovers with rich and good old biscuits!

Their service was ok, overall I would recommend this

My colleague bought this dou sha ping for me as she know I love to eat them .After tasting of one it, i find that the taste is not too strong and it is really flaky with a lot of layers. Firstly, it shows that a lot of fats are added into it to make it that flaky and the many layers meant that the method they used to make this is really , really professional and accurate . Without enough fats, the flakiness won't be there and with too much fats, the whole pie is gonna taste really oily and we co

The fillings are mildly sweet and not too much which I think it is actually quite enough for a average person

We were at Chinatown and specially went to look for this bakery as I was told their traditional cakes and biscuits are very nice. I bought a few type (wife biscuits, Sweet bean paste biscuits and salted bean paste biscuits) and I really loved their sweet bean paste biscuits. The taste is very balanced, not too sweet. You can still feel the slightly grinded texture of the beans. The pastry is also very well done, a bit flaky. The salted bean paste bisuit is also quite nice, not too salty. They ha

They have many other types of biscuits, maybe next time I will try their water chestnut biscuit.
