I wasnt feeling much of an appetite today so I decided to have some porridge for lunch.I order the Hong Kong Porridge which comes with bits of scallop, peanuts, fish and cuttlefish. You can tell that the porridge is cooked for a very long time on the stove as it is very soft and flavourful. There are also some deep fried silver fish which gives the porridge a nice saltiness that enhances the flavour. There are some clumps of porridge probably due to the grains sticking together but doesnt affect

There are some clumps of porridge probably due to the grains sticking together but doesnt affect it's yumminess!

Went to Takashimaya again to do some stuff. And we also went to Food Village again to have our lunch. This time, I decided to go for porridge as I am not feeling so well and wanna try something simple and nice. The porridge served was quite nice. The grain is all broken and thus sort of creamy. But the porridge is quite salty for me. Will visit this stall again if got chance.

the porridge here is pretty good. creamy and all the grains are broken. very flavourful, although needed to drink a lot of water later - maybe there's msg? love the boiled peanuts and the other little bits in the porridge. it's a really big bowl too. for $4.50, it's a bit expensive seeing as it's just boiled rice, but i don't think i could make it at home as it would take hours. nice service. you can add extra toppings at extra cost but the original is good enough.recommended. hard to find seats

The poster of the porridge of this stall looks delicious and inviting so I ordered the fish with cuttlefish and with peanut etc for dinner, which normally this kind of porridge is addressed as sampan porridge in cantonese. It came in a claypot and the texture is very much like those of hong kong style congee, quite nice though. The only thing that was disappointing was the yu tiao, very soaked with oil. I think it will be a plus point if they can improve on that.
