After learning about its freshness, I wanted to tried Saladworks so much since they were the closest salad place to where I'm residing.

Their environment were vibrant, well lighted with vegetables over a bright colors as their wall papers. Service staff was friendly and carried a smile throughout the transaction though she was abit too soft spoken.

I'm kind of surprised that the place was rather empty as many seats were unoccupied on a Saturday afternoon like this especially when we get to find most people hiding in the malls for its air condition due to the bad weather we had nowadays.

While waiting for the main course, I had my soup served.

The french onion soup was a disappointment. It was peppery and did not have too much of caramelised taste from the onions.

Opted for half salad and half panini for the meal. Nuevo nicoise was my choice of salad which contain romaine, iceberg, radiatorre pasta, chunk tuna, tomatoes, egg whites, Nicoise olives and green beans.
As for the panini, I had the chicken mozzarella. This sour dough bread was accompanied by mozzarella, tomato sauce and sliced chicken, heated up. Do give the helpers sometime for preparation.
1/2 Salad and 1/2 Panini - $11.80

Perhaps Singaporeans and patrons over here in Asia still prefer some traditional meals from the hawkers or food court due to its value for money pricing. Such expensive healthy meal which costs over $10 were unlikely the top few choices when it comes to a meal.

We had the student combo for $7.90 with soup and salad (I think there was a downsizing of salad portion though). There were 2 types of soup available - Pumpkin cheese and Tomato - so we had both to try. The tomato soup was so rich and cloying that after a few sips, we left it aside. The cheese flavour in the pumpkin cheese soup was rather subtle and we could not taste much of it. The pumpkin soup had a thick texture but it was not overwhelmingly rich. Eat the croutons fast because they will turn

Chicken Caesar Salad
I prefer this to Coffee bean's version. The last time I had chicken salad at Coffee bean, I had a hard time chewing on the shredded chicken which did not taste fresh at all and were so tough and dry. The chicken (breast?) at Salad Works tasted fresh and they were so darn tender!! The bread croutons were crispy too. We had italian vinaigrette dressing for this and it tasted acidic with a rather distinct flavour. I wished they gave more parmesan cheese though.

Turkey Club Salad
We had low fat ranch dressing for this and the taste was rather subtle yet sweet as compared to italian vinaigrette. The turkey was surprisingly tender too. The light-flavoured dressing was a great complement with the saltiness of the turkey bacon which made the whole salad more enjoyable.

Went to JEM for lunch and found this salad stall. Specializes in salads but i decided to go for the turkey melt sandwich instead. The serving is not too big and it's a tad pricey for the food and quality. The presentation, taste, quality and serving of the sandwich was ok, nothing much to rave about but not too shabby either. Would love it if there were more mozzarella cheese inside
